Re: Jackson Arnold and Alamo Bowl. The OU at Tennessee game popped up on my feed so I had to rewatch that game and Baker Mayfield was 8 for 25 in that game entering the 4th quarter. 8 for 25!!! 3 points! Then he grew to be one of the best QB’s ever. I’m not worried about Jackson Arnold but people also need to be a bit more realistic about expectations for the young QB.

OU needs to get "Colton Boomer" from UCF for the placekicker. The name alone would be an amazing NIL for him and great for the OU fans. Plus, he can really kick.

I’ve been saying the same thing since OU played UCF this past season. I was kind of disappointed (and still am) that he wasn’t on anyone from OU’s radar……..he should have never went anywhere but OU.

It is amazing that every team except OU improves during the off season. Every team except OU has recruits coming up ready to play. Every team except OU can back fill with portal players ready to play. Every team except OU can develop top recruiting class.😮😮😮😮 just saying😮😮😮 btw, this is tongue in cheek.. however if you watch other pod cast, this what I hear 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ every team get credit except OU. I can wait until the season.. I feel the OU players are just as ready!

Riley had "administrative issues" in OU. Now, same thing at USC. Didn't want OU to go to SEC, and now trying to eliminate rivalry games at USC. The rise and fall of Lincoln Riley is going to make a heck of a 30 for 30.

Last year, Schmit made 55% of his field goals (6 of 11) between 28 and 50 yards. Keltner made 84% (16 of 19) the last year he played (2022 for ETSU). So, on paper, it's an upgrade. We'll have to wait and see if it materializes on the field of course

I’m no special teams guy but thanks to finally do a deeper dive into the kicking situation. Hopefully punter position is good but yeah pretty accurate that it could be a 2-4 game swing in either direction based on the ability or inability of the pk position.

Jayden Gibson just needs to hold on to the 🏈. He can get open and I agree with Teddy. Oklahoma's offense will have a breakout year. Bill Bedenbaugh does not recruit offensive linemen who cannot play football. The skill positions are explosive and Jackson Arnold is going to be dealing BOOMER SOONER 4 LIFE

Arnold will just fine since he's not forcing the ball to Drake...BV will be able to fire up the offense more by being present and not helicoptering the defense
@mitchconner20213 ай бұрын
Ive thought Gibson should have gotten more playing time last year.. 🤷♂️ 5 TDs on 14 catches says something.. Its not like those were busted plays and he was walking in the endzone in trash time he was making catches over DBs then breaking a tackle or 2 to run for a touchdown.

Gibson Moss'd several dudes and even drug a few into the endzone like he was playing backyard ball against his little brother. He's a mismatch and definitely needs more tosses, more often.

All i hear for years is, "OU and that high flying offense ain't gonna work in the sec. You gotta have a defense to play here." We hire the greatest defensive coach in college football and build a top ten defense and now i hear, " OU has too many questions on offense to win in the sec."
@tonyyates50813 ай бұрын
And Jackson Arnold needs to have some confidence that if he can throw the ball a little bit high to Jaden Gibson that nobody can get up that high unless there is tall is Jaden Gibson, but he’ll catch a lot of balls that way man

Why not just look at the non conference schedule like the NFL does preseason games? If they didnt have any impact on the cfp rankings I think teams would be more willing to schedule tough games in the first few weeks of the season. It seems like that would be good for everyone. Maybe there's a reason that's a completely stupid statement.

If Zach Schmidt is our FG Kicker in 2024, OU failed as a Coaching Staff. We've seen 2 years of what Schmidt can do and it ain't good enough! I will be furious if Zach is our FG Kicker next season!! We already know "he ain't it".

I would spend 250k of NIL for the best kicker recruit every 2 years and trim the fat on other positions. I'm surprised there hasn't been a run on kickers in the portal yet, blue bloods outright buying the best kicker from other teams, creating a bidding war to keep the best kickers at good universities.
