Awesome review! The MD80/Super 80 used to have this layout, but were phased out over the years as they depreciated, Boeing bought out McDonnell Douglas, and Airbus stepped up with the A319/320 series. As soon as I heard about the A220, I was itching for Delta to expand the fleet. I’m just shy of 6’, but with all the height in my legs, I could never drive a Mazda Miata with the top up. That left me using the 737 Max in Economy Plus / Comfort Plus as my option. Glad the A220 is widely growing, so I don’t have to worry about DB Coopering it out of a Boeing product.

Will be on an A220-100 between SLC & GEG in a few weeks. And the information truly helped. Thank you.

@@EscapingtheEmptyNest UPDATE: I was pleasantly surprised on how roomy the seat was. Even with the row packed, I felt no discomfort. Normally, I need a seat belt extension, but with this seat, there was plenty of regular seat belt. Service was wonderful, as well.

Wow thanks for this I was wondering what to put my husband in because he’s 6’7 your 6’8 so this was a perfect video he will be traveling from Africa nonstop 12 hours and I want to see if comfort+ or premium select would work. But it looks like comfort is best but I was wondering if I should put him in a front seat with no one in front of him I’m not sure if they have the 2x2 seating I think it’s 3x3 anyway this was very informative. Let me know if you think for 12 hours you would rather sit in the front of comfort + for more leg room or where you where sitting was good. Thanks so much oh yeah I loved seeing you in the bathroom because I was wondering how my husband would fit comfortably lol thanks a lot 😂

I don't know when I will fly again but, if/when I do, I'll definitely be looking for Delta flights! Thank you for these reviews!

I wish we could fly delta all the time, but they just don't go that many places from DFW, and delta charges and amr and a leg for connecting flights.... Sadly

The A220 looks comfortable. I like the window in the bathroom:). Great job as you both were very informative . The FA was very nice to talk for a bit. :).

Our flight had a delay taking off so we were sitting on the tarmac so I decided to start up a conversation. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching

A very informative & thorough video. That's cool that you even got a quick interview with a flight attendant! Definitely a great resource for anyone who's really tall looking for what they can expect with Delta's new a220s. I haven't been on Delta's a220 yet, but Delta is my go-to airline when traveling in the US, so hopefully I'll get to fly on one of those soon.

Thanks Nick! I know the big and tall aspect of this may limit the audience reach, but it's a topic worth documenting. Hopefully it will reach the target audience and help some people. It's a great plane, you're going to love it!

@@EscapingtheEmptyNest yes but you also may be filling an information gap that's much needed & may attract even those who aren't big & tall & might just be curious as to how people as tall as you manage on planes.

We got a lot of good information out of this video. Several family members and friends we often travel with are either big or tall or both. So this review helped us have an idea about the options on the Delta airbus a220. Thanks for sharing this review. Liked and subscribed!

Do seats of row 18 with no seat in front have a way to control the monitor two rows in front of them, or have in seat entertainment instead?
@EscapingtheEmptyNest Жыл бұрын
Probably in seat entertainment, but I'll check next time I'm on an a220

Also don't the exit row seats of 18 recline because they are the second row of the exit row?
@EscapingtheEmptyNest Жыл бұрын
Not sure, All I know is when you look at exit row seating , it usually warns you the seats do not recline
