BIG TIRE Motorized Bicycle First Ride! (REVERSED ENGINE!)

We build the driveline for our Tillotson 212 powered big tire bicycle mini bike build, and take it for its first test ride! This is no ordinary mini bike build, we're mounting the Honda clone engine BACKWARDS in the frame to better fit the design of the bicycle frame, meaning we needed to fabricate a clever way to reverse the direction of the chain. We pulled it off, and this motorized bicycle hauls!

seriously go check out that metal fab shop they were talking about. it's a guy out of OKC that makes REALLY badass chopped and slammed bikes, trikes, drift 4 wheeler frames, insane good stuff

in a straight drive transmission there are 2 shafts with the forward gears. to go backward, or turn around the direction of the output shaft, you introduce another gear which is pinned to the Trans case. the extra gear turns the direction of movement around. add another gear to that and it will turn back again.

It needs a good set of 26" mountain bike suspension forks and mountain bike handlebars... Same 20" wheel.. Dropping down to 2 lbs of air pressure in rear tire will help lessen the bounce and harshness of ride...

I gotta say, it's pretty awesome seeing how far y'al have come. I know yal have built cross karts and stuff before, but the custom fabrications, the welding, different mounting styles, etc. It's great! And it's not super fancy sky in the pie stuff. I know it's hard work, it's not nearly as easy as yal make it look, but this feels like something I could build if I spent 3 months in the garage hahaha.

when trying to measure for centre point ,rather than hovering id recommend measuring from outer side of the first pipe & then the inner edge of the second pipe to achieve an accurate measurement. this is a trick I recently learned , keep up the great work guys awesome content as always, following from the UK

You could just weld the seat post on and put one of those 12 X12 sofa sized Cloud 9 bicycle seats. They are super comfortable with additional springage for the ride and since its half bike. Great work!
