For those who don't know This song is for the first boss. In a Donkey Kong game. Who is a giant sea-lion who attacks by doing circus tricks. They chose to make a freaking metal song for that.

Nintendo decided within the last like, 5-6 years or so that blending metal into the majority of their main IP's soundtracks was a great idea. And you know what? They were ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Bowser's Fury is another good example.

Also Donkey Kong music has always been too tier. And Retro Studios was working on this game. And they brought back legendary composer David Wise. With all that considered, how could they not do it

Hell, after that they decided to: Have an owl with accordions and alpenhorn, Some baboons with im pretty sure what is a panflute, A pufferfish that mainly uses pipes in its theme, A very angry and hard hitting polar bear with music to match, And the banger that is the final boss to match. You know, just to make you think that all bosses have metal themes, only then to let them make a comeback at the end. And its so good.

So happy to see a comment like this! some of the song choices are baffling to me, with a soundtrack selection as rich and epic, and just plain ELITE as nintendo, and a BANGER of a soundtrack like this, misses the game! especially if we just narrow some of the DK Choices! this was a shoe in for me!

@@themetanite7865 We only got one Tropical Freeze song and it isn't even that fitting for a fight. The boss fights in Freeze, hell, Freeze in general honestly has some my favourite tracks in the entire DK series.

No joke, Tropical Freeze's soundtrack is easily in my Top 10 video game soundtracks of all time. Wise did NOT need to go HAM with the soundtrack but I am oh so glad he did!

Correction: the majority of Tropical Freeze’s OST goes hard. So hard that they couldn’t even fit all of the credits version of Stickerbrush Symphony in the credits proper.
