That's great if that is the case because it's almost unheard of to achieve such performance gains per core

For instance, there's absolutely no way you could get anywhere close to those performance gains by increasing the power supply to an AMD chip by 25%
@jeffreyparker93963 ай бұрын
@@muttly3190 except that the Intel CPUs already regularly hit cooling limits and are already having stability issues (though that is not completely Intel's fault). More power will increase these problems. Also worth noting that AMD has been getting performance increases close to that level without increasing power usage.
@CavezOfficial3 ай бұрын
@@muttly3190 You're missing the point. He's saying they're achieving that % boost by simply increasing the amount of power they're sucking down with the new Intel chips. And more power = more heat. AMD is getting speed and performance boosts in every aspect (clocks, mem, cache) while remaining power efficient. In relation to the new chips themselves, anyways. All of Intel's 13 and 14th gen chips have been crashing after 90 days of use and becoming unusable due to power issues and generating enormous amounts of heat. Tons of heat, needing expensive coolers to handle it, sucking down tons of power with the CPU alone, higher power bill, etc.

The problem is that countries have little to no control over EU companies using nVidia for their projects, and I know that for a fact: i'm doing just that in that same country, we just buy nVidia because "CUDA" (and all that comes from it). And yes, i know, ROCm blababla.... just like we bought Intel CPUs for decades before even considering AMD solutions, it'll take time to incorporate competitors. That's the only option they have and nVidia likely won't cut anything, raising prices maybe but that would go the way the lawsuit wants anyway.
