@robbiefishing we are bracing for the first storm of the season. Snow, sleet, freezing rain mix for 2 days. Makes a real mess of things. Ice hangs on the trees and utility lines. Electric, internet, etc all get sketchy and the damage gets so widespread the repair crews are kept busy catching up. The plus side? I'm retired so I can sit inside and watch the carnage unfold. We've had pretty subdued winters the past 5 years. So far this one has been mild. We'll see what comes.

Hi Robbie, nice video, two things, firstly Sonny fought a great trout cod, do you think that trout cod numbers are rising and if so is it likely they will get to numbers people might be able to keep one like we can with Murray cod in the near future, and secondary you have said Sonny is a chef, I would love to see you do a catch and cook with him.
@robbiefishing23 күн бұрын
Thanks so much Bruce. That is an excellent idea. I will speak to Sonny about that. Trout cod numbers are definitely on the rise mate. They are recruiting naturally and doing very well. I would be VERY disappointed if there was never an open season for trout cod. The sad reality is that there are so many Greenies around now. Trout are no longer stocked in streams because they're not native, and more and more people are calling for "catch and release only" of native fish. It's too over balanced. I don't trust the green governments to ever allow people to keep trout cod. I would be very surprised if they did.

You don't always know the snags are under there until it's too late. Once I went back to a spot when the water was down and found two of my favourite lures, three years after I lost them! I wasn't fishing that day, but just as happy as if I'd landed a PB 😁 All the best from the other side of the border 🇭🇲🦘🙏🦘🇭🇲
