Congrats on the turbo. Having a 50 trim in my car I can tell you it’s a big upgrade. On your specific turbo I would be careful cranking boost too high. Ide keep it around 15-16 psi for longevity reasons. The cheaper turbos don’t like higher psi for long. Can’t wait to see her rip! STOP!!! READ THIS!!! Sorry to shout, but this is extremely important. You WILL have to cut/grind/drill away the rivets holding the shields to the bottom side of the valvle cover! There IS STILL silicate dust under from blasting! I dont care if youve washed it and blowed it out a 1000 times. Its STILL there! It will get carried by the oil through your engine and turn it into a 2.4L boat anchor! It will trash everything inside the engine! And I mean EVERYTHING! It has happened to me. The only thing salvageable was the block. It created so much friction and heat it even cooked the rods! Crank was junk! New rebuild lasted less than 40 miles. Please, Please, Please get those shields off and check/clean under there. You can use short self tapping machine screws with a dab of loctite to put them back on afterward. Can't wait to see the big turbo build! PS. Glad to see you finally checked for cracks around the wastegate flap,lol. Im saying a prayer for auto trans right now😁

Just get that 5 speed manual in there you'll be so much happier with it, I'm currently in the middle of putting a speeduino(similar to Megga squirt) ECU on my PT GT (UK non turbo) so I can install the stock turbo set up and tune it with tunerstudio as it now supports the NGC engine trigger patterns, look into it full stand alone or piggy back ECU for a couple of hundred £/$ rather than the 1000's for a haltech (only aftermarket that offer plug and play for srt4/PT GT) and it does everything that the big £/$ ECUs do.

I need to find a friend close by with powder coating stuff. I was thinking about coating 4 wheels at a powder coat shop near me and it would have been like $500 so rust oleum rattle can it is lol

I don't think you'll need an o2 adapter housing. Just weld a couple bugs into the downpipe directly behind the turbo. I just walked in NAPA and they grabbed one from the counter. It was just a nut that I could weld to the exhaust pipe. I think it was under a buck. I'd use one bung for the stock upstream sensor, and one for a wide-band sensor. My inducer is 79mm. What power level will that turbo support? I would suggest some mild cams while you've got the engine apart. They'll help build more power with less boost. How far can you go with the stock injectors? I have 4 100lb/hr injectors. At 100% duty cycle, that's enough for 800hp naturally aspirated.. or about 650hp under boost. I wish I would have gotten the super sniper system with 8 injectors. Oh well. I'm excited to see the progress. I'm almost glad that the manifold was cracked. Lol. Bigger and better, my dude. Keep up the good work. Oh, and the powdercoated valvecover looks awesome. You really should cut the balance chain. Won’t really do much for power but the balancer is easily the weakest point in the engine. If you keep the balancer chain keep your power at or below 400. Cut it you’re safe to 500. Plus it only takes about 30 seconds to do with the oil pan already off

Go hp tuners and keep your balance shafts. I regret removing mine. Just check your chain with the specs and you’ll be fine. Diablosport sucks with these cars the live data doesn’t work on them, don’t waste your money on a trinity that’s just my personal experience. Happy for you bro!

Just my opinion but I think all the worry about power robbed by balance shafts is a waste of time. Especially on tuned engines and more on boosted engines, you can change the HP up and down more with octane than what the inertia of the shafts take away. Also, if you just want the feel and pull of that boosted engine and aren't road course racing it, I'm guessing the auto will probably be just fine. Heck, I've driven boosted Chevy's with Powerglide. They were fantastic fun. In a straight line of course....

Waiting as I place my bets on how long before your road gets an atf+4 shower and the trans no longer trans. Not trying to troll, just they are known to die with stage 1 as you know. After all together you ll be forced to get a injectors,pump and tune. watching as she comes together over summer.
