That was a beautiful hoo. Was just on the big island for a couple of weeks, brought some amas and a milkcrate and set up a little rental yak. All I could catch was wahoo, and all I wanted was YFT. Love the vids, amazing job.

As I wait anxiously for the next video to drop I just booked my trip to Hawaii! I want to fish offshore in a kayak and catch a yellow fin tuna! Is there anywhere that rents hobie kayaks? I'll be able to bring a tranx 400 spooled with 50# braid w/ an ugly stick and maybe a 6000 series spinning reel with 40# braid. Of course the ultimate dream would be to fish with you! Let me know your July 1-5 schedule.

Oh this one, I let pressure off and the hooks pulled out. Wahoo have pretty hard mouths and so you don’t always get solid hook set.

@@FlyingFish_TV Makes sense. I wonder if there are any specific hooks that would make it through. Harder, sharper, thinner point, specialized curve? But then again you're probably not targeting wahoo and need a multi species hook.
