From a pilot. An actually pilot! Its condensation. Rolls Royce engines cause more noticeable condensation trails. There is nothing you can spray in the air to change the weather. The only thing we do for weather modification, flares, they are used by setting off a flare in a storm cloud to dissipate (lighting) higher in the atmosphere to reduce ground strikes!

I built jet engines for 42 years. The streams you see behind a jet is a contrail.. It is NOTHING but steam from the moisture in the air being boiled away. The higher you get the colder the air and the more moisture.

I remember a day that conditions must have been just perfect for forming contrails at lower altitudes, and there was no wind so they were remaining in place without dispersing, and I was near O'Hare airport so they were EVERYWHERE with trails radiating from the airport in every direction in a sunburst pattern, and the sun was setting behind it so the trails were variously getting lit from different angles with all the different sunset colors, one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I'm sorry but as an engineer i have to disagree geoengineering in the stratosphere involves releasing chemicals like aluminum, barium, and strontium to create long-lasting cloud trails across the sky. Unlike normal jet contrails that vanish quickly, these artificial trails spread out and create a hazy layer of toxic chemicals and particulates like arsenic, titanium, and thorium. There's been studies on this as well samples taken showcasing this.

Contrails is the correct term used. It’s caused as a by product of the burning of fuel; however due to the air temperature being well believe freezing, the exhaust water Vapor to condense very quickly, causing the water droplets to freeze leaving behind basically a frozen water droplet trail. When the air at altitude is dry, it dissipates quickly. When humid is when you see the streaks and the fluffy clouds after while. I know this as I studied Aircraft Engineering and currently work in the Aerospace Industry.

Yeah Ryan - as an avgeek, the exhaust from engines is mostly water vapor. It’s like when you start a car in the cold and it smokes. They used to spread chemicals with the exhaust, however they don’t anymore. It’s usually around -50°F at the altitudes commercial aircraft fly at(35,000-50,000 feet). What you’re seeing is the water vapor freezing. You’re basically seeing snow machines.

But cloud seeding; what Ray was referring to is an entirely different thing that is normally not visible and doesn't produce streaks. These are planes specifically outfitted and they release compounds into clouds like silver iodide or even salt to produce the ice crystals. Which vapor then attaches to and when it gets heavy it falls in the form of rain/snow/etc.

I saw the ‘Prime’ hydrating drink and decided to try it because my “concrete guy” said it was good! I thought “I’m not sure I will like it.” WOW! It was so good and only 20 calories!
