Seeing all of these ups and downs, having to put up with so much outside resistance, game playing on too many levels. Hi Ryan, you handled Eric"s termination with a lot of class I must say. It has been evident for a long time that he had one foot out the door. When he got a taste of making his own money, his attitude went down hill, and he started bringing the whole crew down as well. As a contractor myself for some 40 years, I've had the same experiences that you have had so I know all to well how you feel when the trust factor is broken. The new building is really shaping up and you guys are doing a fantastic job with it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and the whole Victory crew. Amen
@heatherd.93903 күн бұрын
I agree with you 100%, Scot. Aside from the obvious, the unfortunate thing for Eric if he does go out on his own is that he doesn't know everything he needs to know, in my opinion. There will come that one job (or many) that he's going to either mess up, or not know what to do. If he'd left things better with Ryan, he likely could pick up the phone and ask him for advice. Heck, we all know Ryan would likely still give it to him if he asked, but I would think that Eric would hesitate to make that call now. I saw on a recent video of Eric's (I don't follow his channel but checked it out last week [it was maybe a 'Live" video] when we learned he was on a week off without pay) that he says he has a lot of respect and is grateful to Ryan so at least he's showing some respect now. Perhaps too late.

@@fugitiveracoon676 I don't dislike Eric but I am disappointed. He made a huge mistake career wise. I don't wish him any ill will; I wish things were different but he's made things much harder on himself by burning that bridge. Ryan was good to him, side job referrals, renting equipment, teaching him for 2+ years, etc. Not only that but the friendship, bonuses, endless paid sick days, and so on. Based on what I heard Eric say on that Live video I referred to, I think he knows all this now and is regretting things. It's too bad it took this to make him realize how easy he had it.

Out of the crew that he currently has one of them which I'm thinking either Marcel or Francisco would be excellent to learn everything there is to do so that they can be that person that Ryan counts on. Instead of Ryan asking them to do something that one person make sure everything's done properly things are put away properly at the end of the day cleaned up properly and takes the initiative to get things done without having to be told what to do. That would be huge for Ryan.

What most people don’t realize is that when Eric and even Ray miss so much work it makes the crew work 10x as hard. Concrete is a job that requires a good team to be able to flow and knock jobs out when people miss work so much it requires someone else to carry the weight and it’s unfair to the crew to continue to have to do so when you can just bring a new guy in. Not to mention resentment builds up within the crew
