Hats off to Dave for being a workhorse on the bass filling in for Brian as best as he can. RIP Brian.

Ian ripping through solos and he doesn't even need to look any more; looks like he can do this in his sleep. One hell of a musician.

He pretty much is in his sleep during this gig really lol. What’s even more impressive & sad at the same time is that as most of you’s know they were still mourning the loss of their friend & bandmate😢 & decided to go out as a 3 piece band in which for experienced musicians out there know is no easy feat for this kind of music. Here’s a cool story for you guys… …. In the mid to late 90’s a couple of my childhood friends whom 2 of them were also my inexperienced bandmates but thought we were “Pink Floyd” 😊lol😅… So anyways we grew up in a small town called St.Marys,Ontario & in the 90’s the population was approximately 4,000 - 4,500 & about 40-45mins from London,Ontario so when we wanted city action London was it lol, so we decide to go to downtown London & we were around 19-21yrs old. We are walking by the “VIA Rail Train” station & an old popular small music bar/venue called “Call The Office” & the stage was probably smaller than your childhood bedroom, so my good friend/drummer Bob recognized a few songs coming out of “Call The Office” which one of them was “The Oaf” & Bob says guys i’ve seen this band on “Much Music” & heard “Big Wreck” on London’s “FM96” radio station. So we go in & there’s only like 10 people in the bar & all musicians have been there or all still in that stage lol😅… so we are throughly impressed especially myself & we stay for their whole show & chatted with the band afterwards & did a few shots together & bought merch to support them & we are all still big fans of “Big Wreck” & “Thornley”!!! Amazingly talented band as most know!

Dang dude, Big Wreck goes from 5 to 3 in about 2 years. But the show must go on. Mad respect, and still sounds incredible

Thank you so much for uploading these. Big Wreck is my favorite band. Amazing to see them as a 3 piece but heartbreaking why they are.

As sad as a situation as it was with the passing of Brian this 3 piece performance is absolutely stellar with Ian Thornley tackling all guitar duties as well as singing & Dave filling in the big gap on bass to try & fill those big holes with normally having 3 guitarists which is like what Iron Maiden has been doing since the late 90's with Bruce Dickinson & Adrian Smith's return to Maiden & have been a 6 piece band ever since & as talented as all those musicians are you can just imagine how many harmonies & triple layering power chords when everyone is playing the same thing & the that Maiden sound just flowing right through you then all 3 guitarists will split off into another dimension yet making their songs sound out of this world!!! & that's exactly how "Big Wreck" sounded with that 3 guitar riffage & harmonies, they are out of this world & sadly do not get the respect & attention they so deserve in this musical world. IRON MAIDEN should take Big Wreck out on tour with them & Maiden has already then shame on me for not knowing about it lol

I saw these guys less than a year before brian died and Ian was all "Thanks guys, we really needed this." I'm sure by then they knew he was pretty sick, great band. Art fueled by pain.

what effect was he controlling with that expression pedal? i couldn't discern it too well. was it a pitch effect...octave?

So from listening to a couple guitar related interviews, here's what's going on: Ian runs 3 amps. 2 of them are on at all times changing from clean to dirty. The 3rd amp is set very dirty and uses a volume pedal to bring the 3rd amp in. Hope this helps!

dayam playing all the small places, one question about this song does it literally mean come again or symbolic as in sya that again.

Seems like 1, no matter his age, the douchebags keep coming. And 2, even though it's a struggle, he keeps coming back to face em regardless. As a child I found myself alone Always walking in defense Here they come again All I want to do was just get home But I'm pinned to the fence But here they come again I walked home all alone All this and more All this and more I guess this is living Would you come again? Could you come again? I never quite feel right But I come again Would you come again? Yes I've become a rock and roll cliché Because I 'm looking for revenge And here they come again I still walk home alone All this and more All this and more I guess this is living Would you come again? Could you come again? I never quite feel right But I come again Would you come again? All this and more All this and more I guess this is living Would you come again? Could you come again? I never quite feel right But I come again Could you come again? I guess this is living Would you come again? Could you come again? You never quite feel right But you come again Would you come again?
