**Correction due to change in cable length: When connecting your battery cables from your Controller Box to your first Battery Module, use the top terminals on your Controller Box to connect to the first Battery Module, leaving the bottom battery terminals available for proper balancing with the longer cables from your bottom Battery Module or for connecting from the top terminals of your parallel stack when expanding to a 30 kWh capacity system or more.**

Help me out here. I do not understand why Signature Solar is selling the Ethos battery. Sure, it is a modular/stackable wall mount, but otherwise offers no major benefits that I can see vs the indoor & outdoor PowerPro models. It still has to be paired with a third party inverter and is so much more expensive per kWh that I can't make any sense of it as a product for Signature Solar. Offering options is great and all, but they need to make sense financially too. Big Battery has been so overpriced for years. They are getting better, but still aren't there yet.

Other than the splash screen, the configuration of the controller box looks exactly the same as the EG4 Wallmount All Weather battery. Even the fonts are the same. Interesting.

It’s unclear to me as to why one would opt for a stack of 3 BigBattery ETHOS over either of the EG4 wall mount batteries shown in the background. The 3 ETHOS batteries do offer a 25% higher continuous discharge current at 250A vs 200A, though they all support up to 200A charging. EG4 does claim nearly twice the charge/discharge cycles than BigBattery, though I do wonder if that might be specsmanship gaming with an undisclosed caveat. The BigBattery ETHOS modules are each certainly lighter to move around during installation, though one has to lift 3 of them to set them into their installed locations.

Uhh...this is Big Battery's product and is extremely overpriced compared to anything else Signature Solar sells. Other than being wall mount modular/stackable, I don't understand the decision to sell this product at all. Financially it is a terrible value in comparison.

Does BigBattery still use 4awg battery cables with 200c insulation. I have the 3 Kong Elite 15kwh by BigBattery and did not pass inspection because of these small cables. I had to get 3-6' red and black 2/0 made by Harness Masters in Edmonton Alberta. The 2/0 is now the min size for battery cable in Canadas 2021 CEC. Section 64-814. They may be getting better but they for sure have cut corners on safety. Pushing wires this hard to carry large current for long term use is dangerous. I couldn't imagine having to try and handle cable that "could" heat to 200c or anything being around those cables.

The cables that come with the battery module are 2 AWG 200c insulation. Let us know if you have any other questions.
