I can relate as far as that Restless album. For me, it's Tha streets is a mutha by Kurupt,No Limit Top Dogg by Snoop,Tha Last Meal,Tha Eastsidaz both albums &The Marshall Mathers LP & D12 Devil's Night. Something about that Up in smoke tour time frame was just magic that will never be able to be duplicated. It was all around the time that the Monday Night wars we're going on in the professional wrestling world with DX & NWO & so on. Definitely golden memories.

Xzibit came to my home town (Perth, Australia) in 2005 or so, and did a massive show at the nightclub I was working at then. He had brought these enormous sub-woofer stacks - they must have been 10 metres or more higher - and the bass was so, so intense, my whole body turned into a tuning fork. I was wearing ear-plugs AND sound-cancelling headphones, but the bass went into every orifice and all the way through my body anyway. It was so loud that I think I ended up with a concussion! Anyway, he put on a great show, and was really good to all the fans who turned up to see the show - a great showman and a good person, too.

When rappers yell at the top of their lungs out of breath live, it sounds wack, it sounds out of tune to the music and off beat. I can't stand that shit. 33:35 Its a mix of multiple things. Its true, in hiphop no one wants to see ppl 40+ rapping. Its an active genre, lots of movement, fast talk, talk about hooking up, flashy things. Rock and country cherishes its 50+ rockers because the lyrics are about nostalgia, life, relationships, love. Things ppl of that age can relate to. Its also black ppl’s crabs in a barrel mentality, wanting to stop other ppls success usually from jealousy. We think there isn’t enough for all of us so we tell “old artists” to stop and let young dudes do it. Why not both? Why not young and old rapping? Just like in rock? Its a race and cultural thing unfortunately.
