I used to sing in a choir for a number of years. When I saw Floor perform this song acoustically I was blown away. I described the song as a vocal obstacle course. The note changes, diction, dancing up and down the notes as you try and maneuver the staccato notes... It's like singing a tongue twister. I can see music teachers using this song as an exercise for more advanced students.

The second verse Tuomas wrote for Floor, her husband Hannes van Dahl and their daughter Freja. This is Tuomas way to say thank you Floor for saving the band back in 2012 and making us great again

"She makes it sound like one thing!" Thanks for the technical explanations you add to that. I appreciate Floor for always conveying atmosphere and narrative through her voice, and never casting stereotypical in your face emotion through acrobacy. Like some other vocal heroes seem to do so often...

"How's the Heart" might be the best question, one can ask from anyone- everyday friends and even strangers in these days, or in fact every day, no matter what's the situation. You might get someone to burn the rope, dull the blade and keep going… Tuomas wrote this about empathy needed between people. He also wrote in verses to honor Floor's and Hannes finding each other and their daughter Freya...

This is one of my absolute favorites. The message is so beautiful: kindness, caring and love. The album version is very good, but this is more emotional due the intimate acoustic setting. Well done! ⛄👍

Might be worth your while visiting Floor's KZbin channel where she sings some super covers and chats and gives vocal tips. By the way Floor doesn't indulge in vocal gymnastics for the sake of it. She sings what fits the song unlike people like Dimash who shows off all the time regardless of whether it is necessary or not.

Spot on, Clive! And I'd like to add that the same applies to Emppu as well. He doesn't show off but plays solos that fit the song and the overall performance of the band. Yet everyone knows what a talented guitar player he is. And basically the same applies to any other band member so that this can be seen as the special Nightwish spirit which makes them as awesome as they are imo 🤘🏻.

To see Floor's softer side you really need to watch her version of Shallow (Lady Gaga). It is so different from Lady Gaga's and with so much emotion you will probably need tissues. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJeWZHx_n9SbitE

Floor kills as usual. Always fun to watch you try to describe the indescribable. Your grins, mumbles, and head shakes say it all. Would like to get your take on Billie Eilish's cover of Michael Jacksons' "Bad". I think it might be one of the best things she's ever done, and Finneas slays doing the music and back-up.
