There is no doubt that he's a genius "in his own right!" I say it that way because he seems to have found his "own right!" Great reaction - thank you!

Thanks for introducing me to this wonderful artist. I think he sounds like Mexican guitarists. Amazing storytelling, similar to Taylor Swift in the rawness and honesty,

The time signature is 5/4. When I was a teenager I was borderline psychotic over Al Jarreau. He was a truly amazing musician and kind soul. R.I.P. to a vocal maestro.

I am not a guy you'd look at and expect to ugly cry to music, but there is one song that gets me every time: Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt." Well, there *was* one song. Now there may be two, since I just reacted the same way to "Hi Ren." And the thing is, both songs are about the same fundamental aspects of the human condition: the desire to live a meaningful life; struggling with obstacles (mental and physical illness, addiction) and self-doubt; questioning whether you have achieved (or will achieve) anything worthwhile; and finding the courage and hope to go on, or to accept what has been, knowing that no fully satisfactory answers may ever be forthcoming. It's almost like Ren and Cash are the same person at different points in life. But Cash *had* the massive fame, the material success, **ALL** the awards -- and he's still struggling with the same fear and doubt. So yeah, if you want to write a song that hits people deep down in the feels that most of us usually keep a lid on, those are great themes to focus on.

A 1hr 30min reaction is what this trilogy deserves, truly. What a work of art these are. I think it was really wise of you too to take that quick break after the end of part 3 the first time, to collect yourselves and recenter, it helped a lot I think! Ren's work is so dense with emotion and detail that it really does bear some reflecting and composing your thoughts on.

I'd like to suggest Cattle Decapitation. Specifically the song Bring Back the Plague. Travis is AMAZING.

The way Floor completely goes stone-faced and without expression when she's reciting her spoken lyrics is an incredible little detail which gave me goosebumps the first time I noticed it.

Everything you said about the show and the song was wrong!!!! "It is the younger sibling of Phantom", "It was popular between 2000 and 2010", and "This role was originally "done" by Josh Groban." Josh Grabkan was a child when "Chess" debuted iin London and New York. How can you possibly pass yourself off as a vocal coach?!?!?! You know NOTHING about this song or the lore of "Chess"!!!!! How embarrassing!

The song is pronounced "Finn-walla". By the way, the song itself is more like Irish mouth music. I've been lucky enough to have seen them live, and I met some of the members (including John McGlynn).

She consistently strikes me as an imitator but at least she's been exposed to great music. That is why she reminds you of other artists. Hopefully she finds her own sound. Beth Hart is the highest standard...especially live!

To point to your comments at the end I’m a 41 year old Engineer from South Wales. I listened to this song again recently when I was building the confidence to go for a big promotion in work. We all have the self doubt struggle/dance but thanks to Ren we also have a friend to remind us to have the talk with ourselves and give ourselves the confidence to take a chance and believe in ourselves

Hello Charlie. I think that you must react to Urania Fantasia - The Arcane Muse (studio version). I believe that there is a lot of reasons to do it, music and vocals. You will see.

Constructive criticism: work on saying “like” less, and also let other people/guests talk. It seems like you cut them off alot. But keep up the solid work, you have a great channel/content.

Great reaction. You might already know but Ren's dad plays medieval music on the Lute and storytelling. (Martin Gill yt) his mum's a voice coach and story writer. You can hear that, wandering. minstrel style a lot with Ren. Although he didn't learn anything musical from them, he is self taught, but they were a big influence for him.

My husband and I went to see Muse in Milton Keynes in 2023. They were being supported by The Warning and Royal Blood, both of which we'd never heard of. We came away wowed by The Warning, and spent the new few weeks just listening to all of their music on repeat and have been big fans ever since. Choke was my favourite song of theirs from the live gig. Muse was a bit of a nostalgia trip for me, as my taste is music has got progressively heavier since the days I listened to Muse in my early teens, so The Warning was right up my street.

I think you are using cognitive dissonance incorrectly… If you are feeling a sense of cognitive dissonance then yes you are… The 7 year can’t at her age. She’s too young. Inappropriate song for her age no matter if she is able to sing it. She’s a child! The same with QUEEN’S BR at 14. I love both songs, but not for children! You shouldn’t really use this in your program for examples. Also, just for your channel, lose the word “like”. If you listen to yourself it’s quite repetitive and doesn’t show your intelligence in musical voices. This might seem harsh criticism, but…it’s really meant to be constructive. 🧐
