I like the look of that, may well buy one as a project gun, with a little tuning sure that shot count could be increased. Like folding rifles, love my Katran as it fits in a small back pack and doesn’t look like a rifle when transported, great review as always 👍

Thanks for the review, Dan. I have been looking at this for a 15 to 16 yard ratter in .22. At close range the .22 will do more damage, plus scrape a few more shots. It would also make for a great project rifle. The restriction will be the transfer port for the UK market. By opening that up, inserting a regulator, and increasing the valve spring tension, it would decrease hammer bounce. The regulator could then be dropped to around 70 bar and would hopefully give upto 25 to 30 consistent shots per fill. I have done this with my Hatsan Galatian and Gladius, which were giving 110 good shots per fill, but afterwards were giving over 200 consistent shots per fill. It will probably be my next ratting and project review gun. The Retay T20 that I did needs a replacement valve stem, but unfortunately they went out of business. Hi Mark. Absolutely mate and you're smack on. As mentioned in the video none of our guns are truly set up for sub 12ft-lbs, they're all running too high of a reg pressure in conjunction with a heavy FAC hammer spring. They just choke them. A while back when I stocked SMK gear I used to tune the Artemis range for customers, the one that stood out to me the most was the Artemis M16. The standard shot count was just over 100 shots per fill in .177. By simple tuning (reg pressure down to 85bar, open TP to 3mm, balance power with hammer spring) I managed 250 shots per fill from a cylinder. A buddy of mine went a step further and opened the port to 4.5mm and managed 320 shots per fill with zero creep. Like with your Hatsan Mark I have no idea why they don't spend the extra 2 minutes on the production line to tweak them like you did. What a difference it makes. I remember the Retay's SMK didn't import them for long as they had a few issues I think. I had one as I loved the look but even with mine half the time the trigger didn't work and it went straight back. Shame as it would've made a lovely little hunting gun. Thanks Mark and all the best. @bigdansairguns83 Thanks, Dan. I think if our importers spent as much time doing this work as they do on anti tamper, there would be no need for aftermarket tuning. It's much better than restricting the barrel, or exhaust valve to bring the power down. This could even be done at the manufacturing level for the different export markets.

Thanks Nick it really means a lot! To be fair in regards to the power that was at the absolute max fill and after settling in odds are it'd comfortably be below 12ft-lbs. The shot count is low but spot on for hunting. That said I'd never recommend it as a range gun.

Hey Snafflepup! I don't like the tactical gear at all and if not for the fact it's hiding the bipod I'd have said how stupid the foregrip was. That said I do appreciate what they were doing with the Tacto. That said I'd never say it was a pretty gun.

Good review Dan, not for me, but as you say, it will do very well dispatching rabbits etc. It looks like a Kral or Reximex or something out of turkey. Nice one Dan, keep them coming.

I had one of these before they became Trimex, was Niksan before.... I had a lot of issues with mine so much so I got rid of but being so compact it was really good.... Mine had the flip stock removed though & was underpowered to start with as it was considered a pistol 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

Good review Dan. Thanks for the metric measurements. For a gun at that price 7mm groups at 25 yards are amazing. not my cup of tea but,some people will love it. Maybe addressing the low shot count should be the manufacturers next development concern. I've just read through the comments and quite a few people are talking about tuning this rifle. If as you showed the first few shots were "hot" what would a tuned one be like? Yes you can turn it down with a fitted regulator but, I would not be willing to have the police take it off me, take it in and test fire it. Over 12ftlbs is firearms terrority which could lead to big fines or jail time

Nice rifle agree i do lot shooting from a vehicle in the farm yard and strugle to use big rifle like my fxtf12 and not a bullpup fan so this might be a great choice waiting for santa.

Spot on. Not many manufacturers cater for this type of shooting and it's a shame as it's an extremely popular way to get the job done. It's all about ambush/prone hunting these days.

Shot count is low but im willing to bet that I could increase it with tuning. My Leshy used to get 25 shots per fill. As you said they just choke down everything. Opening the flow and adjusting the valve and hammer Doubled the shot count on that gun. Who knows I might be able to fit a regulator in there somewhere. At this price it would be well worth a tinkering!

Spot on deester, for the sake of a couple of minutes in the factory they could make the rifles perform so much better. I used to tune some of the Chinese rifles that came in and you could double the shot count like you've said with not that much work at all. A good friend of mine managed to get over 300 shots per fill out of an Artemis M16's cylinder! Imagine how great it'd be to have that from new.

Hi Jeff! Funky looking little thing isn't it? The shot count for its job is spot on, but for a range gun or plinker you'd definitely get fed up with filling it.

Hi Mark! Interesting little beast isn't it? It's a lower shot count but it's designed as a hunter where it's more than enough. That said with tweaking you could definitely squeak a bit more out of it.

Just by the way it looks and features id say its turkeish made. There all have really cool accessories. The only thing is they tend to no be the most accurate there always price decent and come with more the most airgun. There also all made in one factory when its from turkey. The quality control always question able. I have bad luck with all turkeish airguns and tend to stay away from them my self. The come with the accessories mainly because there fire arm are all also from the same factory they also have a bad reputation for bad quality control unfortunately. Just a fyi. 💯✌️👍✌️

Hi Joseph! Bang on it is made in Turkey, that said it's unfortunate that you've had bad experiences with Turkish rifles as I've had nothing but glowing reports from my customers that have bought them (I can even send links where people have dropped the high end guns for them). The only issue I've had was a batch of rifles that had overly tight chokes. I can't speak for the firearms however the airguns are usually top notch.

@@bigdansairguns83 the thing about them all being made in the same factory is the name brand that has the best reputation or the highest amount of money also get the highest quality parts then get distributed buy quality as it goes down the line sense it all the brands are under the same factory. So the bigger name brand has a lot better chance of not having any flaws. If you look at all the Turkish airguns the parts used are basically identical across the line the main body as well. Yes also the barrel choke. On a few not as popular airguns brands the barrel actually look like it's been welded out of 2 different barrels with a ridge line and when rolled on a flat surface it has a noticeable hump or curve which definitely bad. Iv also seen the main body were the barrel goes in having a slight angle and uneven gap. Wich is a indication of in proper machining. The other thing that also bad at least in the usa is the parts aren't available or can be difficult to get. There quite a bit of airgun company that won't carry them I no rexamex had a really hard time to find a usa distributer it took them more then 2 years after announcing they were going to be offered here. The reputation hasn't been the greatest. Kral and hatsan seem to be some what decent. I do like the fact they come with tones of accessories and case but if it shots a group bigger then 5in at a hundred yards it's pertty ruff and finding ammo to currect that size of group unheard of some of the one I have had were 500$ and up wich isn't a ton off money but I'd expect it to do at least a 2in group at 100yards for the price point a company called macavity arm sell there rifle for 500$ and at 50 it sub moa it can be done less then a dime size group that's quite a difference quite a bit of people have proven it to shot that . I my try a different brand once one proven to hold a good group at 100yrds but not of this moment iv spent almost $2000 on Turkish airguns and haven't had any luck I sold 3 all at a loss trying to get it to group decent by the time I released it the airguns it's to late to return it if it was possible. 🤕🤑💯✌️🫡

Hahaha what script? The only script is what I wrote for the voice over section that's literally it everything else is said on screen as you see it. Considering I mentioned/showed the lower shot count, mentioned the wobbly butt stock along with mentioning multiple times that the Tacto would make a terrible range gun tells me that even if they'd sent a script (that I'd refuse) it wasn't selling their gun very well! 🤣
