I had a trainer when I was young until I was 12 and I still am yet to nic myself for the last 13 years. I don’t kno about learning a move ur not certain about with a live blade just sounds like asking for cuts.
@Liad_Hermelin3 жыл бұрын
@@REKLAW-ART Big facts. Let alone your “first balisong” being live. Personally, I flip just for fun and as a pseudo artform. Not interested in EDC or anytbing like that, and that’s why I’ve always used trainers and am not planning on “upgrading” to a live blade. No disrespect to anyone that is into that, to each their own and I think it’s badass. Just not for me.
@GamingForSurvival3 жыл бұрын
@@Liad_Hermelin I started with a trainer for about a year just casually flipping, I got to a point where its just easy mindless flipping, so I switched to a real blade which I use at work often(work at a gun store) opening boxes and such, but having a real blade also made me want to learn more difficult tricks, still haven't cut myself.. yet

Found this too advanced for me in your very helpful learning sequence. So practiced the hand positions without the twists and moved on. A few lessons later, I can get a twirl in the bottom swing and pretty poorly in the top. But it's finally making sense now and coming together. Also got a little bit of sequencing into other moves down now I'm understanding where certain motions land up handlewise (safe to bite, up to down). Thank you
@iambeepbop2452 Жыл бұрын
Fr I think this is too advanced to be so early on in the beginner tricks playlist
@nathannorton5972 Жыл бұрын
If you master each trick before moving on, this is just an open cut off into a reverse open, you only are adding the knife flip
@Luke-ih1oc7 ай бұрын
It's considered more advanced because of the fact that a greater understanding of pendulum physics is required (not consciously, necessarily). When you spin the knife, the handle should produce a pendulum-like effect; it should require little effort to both complete the spin and to return the handle to your hand. It simply takes repetition for the brain to be able to understand this.
@SamChaneyProductions5 жыл бұрын
This is an interesting component trick, It's basically just half of a basic open and half reverse open, so in the end you switch it twice so it ends up still open if you started open. If you want to use this trick as an open (start closed, end up with an open ice-pick grip), just add the second step from the basic open at the beginning (ie, flip the blade out, then flip it around again then continue with the rest of this trick).

You have to grip maybe just a bit stronger, its the exact same concept as pen spinning, hold it real loose and let gravity do the work for you, thats how you make it look like you hands are barely moving(at least for basic pen spinning) just dont grip it so loose that it ends up falling out of your hands.
