In Missouri we call the God father of Monster trucks. Would there even be a sport without this Man ? Does not pack more stadiums than football What hasn't he done for his country. True Icon!

Seeing Jim get a wheelie in Bigfoot 5 is somehow even more impressive almost 40 years later than when he originally did it.

Very interesting interview with Bob. Many things I didn't know about; for example, the real reason they started to use fiberglass body parts. Great stuff.

Kids, and adults, alike need to watch videos like this because it will be a lot better for everyone to see where these trucks came from, long before the innovative Bigfoot 8 was built, and the move to the tube-frame trucks. This was where this industry, and sport, began and it's still amazing to see how much it has changed in 37 years.

I also have this on VHS, however, the tape I have is called, "Bigfoot Strikes Again." Was this a TV airing of the video, or an alternate version of the tape?
@MrRockgod20117 жыл бұрын
thats is the same thing as bigfoot strikes again but for the tv program they used the alternate name which is challenge of the monster trucks

@DiggerFanJSB It was the television special version of "Bigfoot Strikes Again," with a few bits edited out, but some of the commercial bumpers have some different footage as well.

The Bigfoot crew did a lot of custom fabrication on their trucks, some of it was stuff you could buy in the store, the winches the roll bars and various other things, but the in cab roll cage was almost certainly custom fabricated by them.

@MercuryMorrison1 SOme promoters are now getting into the concept of doing the old-school shows, like the Gas Guzzy events, which are 95% old-school trucks and concepts, like the deep mud pit, and the classic car crushes where you just roll up, and crawl over the cars, so you hear the metal crunch and glass break. I love those kind of shows, and we need more of them.

Bigfoot is and always be the king. Bob chandler didn’t sell out like Dennis did that’s why it’s not part of MJ. All of Felds trucks are cookie cutter trucks. Same engine, same chassis etc

I miss the morning shows on the weekends that TNN had monster trucks on, by that time though the trucks started out with full tubular frames. I miss the old school style body on frame trucks
