To be fair, in the lore of SCP 1000, the human race was anomalously enhanced by a forest god from cavemen to humans with an IQ high enough to both use their own technology to wipe them out for the sole purpose of doing just that, and then wipe our own memories so we went onto our natural progression of evolution from cavemen to civilization creators. While the human race can be destructive when striving for resources, we don't know what would have happened if the forest god didn't decide to boot SCP 1000 from the top of civilization via us. Demon Born of War, SCP 4715, was an anomaly that predated SCP 1000 and caused trouble during THEIR early warlike civilization. But their civilization existed for so long the SCP 1000s had technology that even the SCP organization is still trying to understand, so their civilization was more 'star trek' then us currently and thus, they had very little in terms of resource demand. If the forest god never interfered, we might have become their peers after a couple thousand years. The Unwilling Dimension Hopper has been to similar multi species versions of earth that included humans, and I'm not talking about SCP Avalon where almost everything just happens to work out perfectly for the SCP world and humanity.

If they truly have forgiven us, why can't the foundation offer some of them safe havens to be themselves and gradually integrate among us, in exchange asking for some to be employed as researchers for them. So many possibilities could result if they accept. Certain SCPs that unintentionally cause harm or have other hardships might receive help, while more malevolent ones could possibly be properly detained or terminated. How did the SCP1000 instance know all this? Chances are, if you run into another person whilst out on a wilderness hike they're not going to be able to give you a brief history of political discorse in bronze age Europe off the top of their head, and even if they could, chances are it's going to be vague, inacurate and incomplete. Maybe SCP 1000, is incredably long lived and watched it all unfold first hand. Maybe the researcher happened to encounter a sasquatch who took an ancient history class at yeti-U.
