a bit late, but i appreciate that you went back to the same car with a new battery. i ordered the same one in white yesterday and i plan on either put MN/WPL metal parts and tires on it or just put the body on a WPL/MN chassis. i hope that the wheelbase will allow at least one of those options

Much appreciated the tip for changing out the battery cable. I still have the 3-wire batteries that came with my JY66, same car as your F1 F2. My batteries are larger though, BG says 1500mah which sounds about right for the size. I might keep the car the way it is for now, until the batteries start to run down... still, I can´t balance charge them so I wont know when they are running down lol.... bit of a dilemma, don´t wanna stop using 2 brand-new batteries and don´t want to change cables since I don´t really have any more small batteries left for this scale of truck....except for one 500mah lipo I use for the WPLs hmmmmm 🙄🤔🤔

It's good they upped the mah size. You could always make an adaptor cable so you can use your new batteries with old trucks

Awesome fix dude! I'm so gonna try this on one of my Subotechs that have that 3 prong battery, 500mhp is just not enough run time, especially with it having a 370 motor. I get like 5-10 min and it's done. Thanks!

This has all the right ingredients to make for a good little trail truck! Let down by the small capacity battery in the end, simple but effective mod and now it can run at full power for a lot longer 💪

Nice upgrade! Have you ever had to re-bind the transmitter and receiver? I bought two of these for my nephew. After a short while, both lost throttle and steering capabilities. Based on flashing lights and sounds, it seems like there is still some connection between the two, but I'd like to try to re-bind them to see if that fixes the problem. I just can't find info on how to do so

I imagine the larger battery gives less volt drop on full power. I quite often wire two batteries in parallel for heavy loads.

500mah and a 260 motor shouldn't be sold together 😂 This should have more power for longer now out on the trail 💪

true, a 14500 size can only push about 2A, the 18650's can push nearer 4A. plenty easy to pop a 280 motor in there, if you want power to turn some added wheel weight to keep it upright through more extreme stuff :)

This is how I upgraded the battery kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5Pbh6qag8eCfqM I used a spare 2 pin jst sm cable from another rig. Wheels and tyres, I went for wpl v3. V1, V2 and the mn tyres rubbed on the steering knuckle

😂 litter liam seems very comfortable in this rig, plenty of leg room. As for the suspension, the panda hobby oil shocks look the same size💪 Transmission is unique of this rig so it's a case of waiting for fc models to release some upgrades. Glad you learnt something new 💪

Dont know if you'll see this by now but I've got the same rig and wondered if a 9.6 volt battery would wake it up any. I'm happy with it but wished it had just a bit more low end torque especially with the 260. Any thoughts or ideas man. To many volts for the esc?

I wouldn’t try the 9.6v. Your low end torque comes more so from the windings on the motor’s armature, not as much from voltage. You’ll probably get more smoke than lights!

I think that's exactly what it needs. 500mah later about 15mins then the power died dramatically. Hopefully with the bigget battery it can last 45-60mins
