I needed a unit kzbin.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y that I could store in my home when I wasn't running, so it being light and running on propane were key requirements. I can store the propane tank/bottle outside yet store the generator in my home when it's not in use as I will never put any gas in the engine. It is so light, and on echo mode, which I expect is how it will be used most of the time, it is pretty darned quiet (certainly compared to all the generators I hear in my neighborhood after each power outage). Many of the previous reviews had me concerned that it would be difficult to start on propane, but I have to say, I had absolutely no problem at all. I primed it first using the choke...3 pulls, heard the engine want to start, flipped it to propane, and one more pull and she started. I ran it for 2 hours the first time and plugged it in my fridge. And when I was done, I put the propane tank away and carried the generator to my basement for next time.I could not be happier.

I got one and have been testing at home. My full sized refrigerator, which is very old (30+ years) and draws less than 200W (very low for a full sized refrigerator these days) and cycles every 20 minutes or so, ran a good 18.5 hours. That was impressive. What was odd though, is I put a couple low power items on the DC side (tablet, phone) and whenever the fridge cycled on, the DC side would quit. Now the DC was only drawing 20w or so and it only happened when cycling on. Turning the DC off then on again made it work. Still, don’t want to have to do that every 20 minutes. I sent a note to Bluetti about it but no response yet. Next is I have Keurig single cup coffee maker. Now that does exceed 1000W and it would immediately shut down. I have the Jackery 1000 which has a short overload protection built in (up to 2,000W) and it will power the coffee maker at 1150 W for a minute or so, just enough time for it to drop down to about 750W and make the coffee. Of course the Jackery does not have the 2400Wh but it would be nice if the Bluetti could handle short overloading. Still testing but other than a hard stop at 1000w, it does everything as advertised. Lugging 48 pounds around is giving me a good workout too. Lol. I am using solar power for charging and due to many consecutive cloudy days, I cannot clearly estimate charging time. However, I do like I can charge it that way.

Thanks for the video. Having done a lot of digging on information on power stations, i think you forgot to mention one of the most important plusses of this Bluetti. The fact that the battery can do ~2500 cycles makes this much better than most portable power stations.

Great video, but that coffee maker almost certainly only has one heating element. The water goes through a spiral of metal tubing under the hot plate and then up to the coffee grounds. It moves around through a valve that only allows the less dense hot water to go up, removing the need for a pump. It's a really ingenious design, actually!

Nice unit however the Titan solar generator has a 2,000 watt solar input with a 2,200 watt hour battery pack expandable to 2 or more 2,200 battery packs with a 3,000 watt pure sinewave inverter. I wish manufacturers would stop calling these devices generators. They do not generate electricity; they store it. Its a portable battery with a solar charge controller built in. Even calling it a solar generator is misleading. The solar panel actually generates the electricity and this device stores it. I'm not hating on the device itself. I can easily see the use cases for it. I just hate the misleading naming. P.S Thank you for the review and real world demonstrations.

I plan to buy one unit and i need to know more information before investing my money into it. If you know the answer for the following questions, I really appreciate your help. Question 1: Does the manual come with safety instructions for end user? (For example: The battery will become more vulnerable to failure if subjected to impact, mis-handlings, crush or high rate/faulty charging, high heat exposure etc. These aspects can destroy the battery's circuit.) Question 2: Where is the origin of manufacture? (I.e. China, USA) Question 3: How do we know the batteries are authentic/genuine/brand name parts? (I.e. electronic contract manufactures often procured non-brand batteries because of low price from brokers (not an approved supplier). Many of these batteries don't provide the same high safety standard as the main brand equivalent. The safety precaution and hazard are so much greater and is especially critical on larger battery packs like Bluetti if something goes wrong.

In case of power outage, I have 2 freezers (1 upright and 1 large other one) and 2 fridges in my house. What kind of generator should I get?

If you have propane or natural gas. Spring for a GENERAC whole house generator with auto switchover. Why power one refrigerator for a few hours when you can power your whole house as if there was no power outage at all. When the power comes back on, the automatic switching goes back to the power grid. They are spendy though. But when you think of it. You are powering your WHOLE HOUSE A/C, ALL APPLIANCES, HEAT, LIGHTING, LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG.

It is impossible for 60 W DC to turn into 900 W AC. Power equals volts times current. Changing the voltage or the voltage from DC to AC doesn't change the amount of power output. The inverter losses should result in slightly less AC power.

Appreciate the review, but hate the hyperbole. Goal Zero has had the Yeti 3000 Lithium for a long time now and it has 3000 Whr of energy storage and 1500 W continuous output with a higher surge. Also, pure sine wave. So this one is not "most powerful" or "biggest", though it is less expensive for less output and storage.

It isn't hype. This is the biggest unit available that you can actually carry (with one hand). The others are so large they include a two wheeler or need a truck to move and most can't even be lifted by one person. Those are barely even portables in my opinion,

I would take a gas powered Honda, or Yamaha 2400Watt generator over either one of these battery powered generators, they last longer on a tank of gas, can power more devices, including a frig, or small window AC unit and cost less than $350

@@alphpup3281 I haven't used that first hand but the Apex has a number of problems. There have bee concerns around build quality from other channels and bad recommendations. I also think the runtime is just way to low.
