The MAXOAK Bluetti EB240 is one of the newest solar generator/power stations to be released. It's has a large 2,400wh battery. Did they increase the inverter size? Can you add more solar panels to it than previous models? Watch my review and you will see exactly what this unit can do.

You can get three rigid 170W Rich-solar panels hookup in Series to get 510W total charged input. The panel has Voc 22.6V at 9.79A which is less than 68V and less than 10A required solar input.

Six 100W panels! That are too many panels to haul around. At Richsolar.com, 510W of three panels in series would fully recharge the Bluetti EB240 in about 5 hours. I want to reduce to 2 panels if it is possible not increase to 6, but I couldn’t find any 250W panel or above with spec less than 34 Voc and 5A Isc or less. 6 panels would ruin the idea of portability plus you have to buy extra branching cables. Less is always better. By the way, I like the Titan more than the Inergy Flex modular system. Both have similar ideas, but the Titan has twice the battery capacity more than the Inergy Flex battery. I would go with the Titan, but right now, I just bought the Bluetti EB240 for $1747. It is the best deal that I found.

@@anthonytuongnguyen2616 two 100w panels is basically the same weight and size of a single 200w panel. You get six 100w panels and put them all in one panel carry case as found on my website poweredportablesolar.com and then it's very easy to move all of them around. The MC4 branch connector is very affordable and well worth it to get more power.

Titan is still the King with 1000w charge. This is still great for basic stuff and gadgets. I'd use something like this to heat my reptiles (heat lamps, cord, etc) on the go. 400w at 16-60v/10a charging does kinda suck though... I plan on having a system either diy (Alibaba) or Titan plus 1 or 2 of these types with it's own charging panels. Always need 3 to 5 back ups in case lol. For winter heating it's my Honda eu3000is even though it'll be a rough 4 to 5 months throwing money at the Honda. Roughly 24 bucks a day at 87 octane. The rest of the year is a few mandatory bills minus rent and utilities. Full time road Life, gotta be cunning and crafty.

Thank you. Good to know on MSRP, I will include that info on future videos. The Titan is absolutely my overall favorite. Of ALL the units I've ever tested, which is many, the Titan is the only one to not let me down in some way. The only drawback I have found to the Titan is that it is heavy at 66lbs. But, because the power module (top half) separates from the batteries it makes it easy to move around. The power module is 31lbs and each battery is 35lbs. Those weights are definitely manageable. Starting in March I will have an extensive series on how to use solar generators at Off-Grid locations. The Titan is the best one.

I feel like the manufacturer is hiding information from me. I am thinking of buying the $79 SSP one you recommended, but before i do i want to make sure it doesnt make sense to just spend $10 more for the smaller SS one. The mfr said they both do same wattage and use same cell, but the smaller one has more wasted cells but that doesn't make sense to me. It would make sense if the larger one had more wasted cells? PS, i did buy the bluetti eb240 and plan on hooking up 6 panels (2 groups of 3 in series/parallel).

Hey good video. Question for you, how are you paralleling two sets of two panels each? I am assuming that your using 100 watt panels…? I see how your plenty below the 60v capacity limit, but not the 10a max limit…. I am also assuming your panels are rated at roughly 5.5- 6.0 Amps….? So that would put you at 11 to 12 amps. Does the charge controller give you that much “wiggle” room? For some reason I thought I heard the 10A max limit was rated pretty darn close to its actual limit without tripping out to an Over Voltage Error. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am wracking my mind trying to figure out how I am gonna be able to use all 4 of my SunPower 110 watt panels but staying under the 60V, though I think I have the newer model with a 67-68 Volt max limit with the latest firmware update. Still though with an amp rating of 6.2 amps per panel and 18.7 volts peak max voltage (21.7 Open Circuit Voltage) I don’t see how I can use all of them, actually even the math on just three of them doesn’t work. Though I am a newbie so I could missing something and be off track. Well any light you could shed on this would be great. Thanks so much!

I do have a predator 8700 only runs on gas and loud!! oh and I have a 10.5k solar system on my house with no battery backup im also looking into getting batteries for this system also. hope you can point in the correct direction for this also.

Thanks I'm glad you like the videos. The panels on your roof really cannot be used with a solar generator easily so I wouldn't try that. The Bluetti EB240 should be able to handle the Cpap and freezer fairly easily with at least 400w in panels installed on it. You can also take a look at the Titan solar generator that I also have videos about.

For me I would like to see how long it powers a 36 cubic inch frig. That is why I would buy something like this. We are starting to get rolling blackout due to the heat in Southern California. You do a good review but to be honest. All this can be complicated at times. The frig and a room air conditioner are the two important features I would want to know how long they can power. Both your solar panel options are unavailable. Can that be updated to ones you recommend. Thanks

An average fridge will use about 100wh per hour. The Bluetti EB240 has a 2,400wh battery. So that's roughly 24hrs of run time not including if solar panels are attached.

You can get three rigid 170W Rich-solar panels hookup in Series to get 510W total charged input. The panel has Voc 22.6V at 9.79A which is less than 68V and less than 10A required solar input.

Hobotech's channel ran four 170W panels in series / parallel (basically over paneling it a little bit to cover for solar losses). He managed to get a 500W charge rate. However that's $800.00 in panels, so I'm sure most people will be purchasing 170W panels one at a time to eventually get four of them. And too Maxoak, upgrade future devices for the following: - 1500W Pure Signwave Inverter. - Anderson Powerpole Charging Input in addition to the current barrel plug input. Allow both if possible to be used at the same time for people who have different brand solar panels to maximize they're charging capabilities. - LCD Screen that is visible when the backlight is off. - A second USB-C outlet. - Upgrade USB-C outlets to 60W PD. - Increase 12v regulated output to handle 15 Amps. - Add one additional 12v output so people with a compressor fridge and CPAP can run both at the same time. That's plenty of upgrades that would cover plenty of use cases! BONUS: - Offer a SKU that utilizes Lithum Iron Phosphate LiFePo batteries!

Will Prowse also violated the warranty with his configuration (too much current). I suspect this fellow is also violating the warranty with regard to either short circuit current or open circuit voltage. At least I couldn't find any 100 watt panels that stayed within the specification with more than two panels. I found some 170 and 190 watt panels which met the criteria with two in series.

I like the Bluetti EB240 more than the Yeti 1000 but it depends. The Yeti has a 1,500w inverter so it can run more but it has a smaller battery so it will run it for less time. The Bluetti has a bigger battery so it will run things for a long time but it only has a 1,000w inverter which means it can't run as much. That is why my personal favorite is the Titan solar generator poweredportablesolar.com/ because it has a large expandable battery as well as a 3,000w inverter so it can run almost anything and it can do it for a long period of time.

Unless the panels have microinverters on them or the panels are in use during an EMP, they will be fine. I'm powering a 115 volt 4.5 foot frig the frig runs about 166 watts when it kicks on at first then 0 once it gets cool then when it comes back on it'll run 45 to 80 watts and a cpap that's pulls 55 watts . I am looking at the EB2400 if I got 3 160 watt solar panels Maximum Power(Pmax): 160W Maximum Power Voltage(Vmp): 18.2V Maximum Power Current(Imp): 8.79A Open Circuit Voltage(Voc): 22.3V Short Circuit Current(Isc): 9.29A Maximum System Voltage(Vmax): 600V DC (UL) Weight: 25.5 lbs Dimensions: 58.7 x 26.8 x 1.4 inches. Would they work for what I need? from what I can figure is 480 watts at 54.6 volts and 8.79 amp's if I'm right and I'm not really sure I am. The biggest thing is the open circuit voltage I'm not sure if it'll work or not. And yes I am solar stupid.
@minutemanprep
@minutemanprep 4 жыл бұрын
Hey I'm happy to help. You base the voltage off of the VOC which is the Open Circuit Voltage. So you'd be at 66.9v which is over the limit. That being said, it may still work. I did one test where I went over the 60v max limit and it didn't have an issue. But I couldn't tell if I was over by .1 volt of 10v because the meter didn't go above 60v for readouts. I have heard a rumor that you can go 10% higher than the max limit but I have no knowledge if that's true. So those MAY work if they're not making the highest voltage.

The other AC 200 will 3 panels will be for running the frig all the time and I'll use it to charge my cell phone. The frig in 24 hours use's 0.52 KWH in 70 degrees and 0.65 in 100 degrees being a bit cooler in the 80s at night time. I think this will give me more than enough power for boondocking My cargo trailer is well insulated and this summer with temps being in the 100's the AC kept my trailer cold inside while I was working on it and for my testing. I closed the trailer and ran the frig with out the AC being on for my 24 hour test and got the 0.65 it was 112 in the trailer and 108 out side no shade at all. I'll have a cooler for my drinks so I don't need to open the frig to get a drink only for my food and I can put 5 2 liter bottles of water in the freezer at a time for the cooler. So with that in mind and me going north in the summer time and wouldn't be in the 100's I think it'll do just what I want and in the winter work my way back south as it gets colder I'll have a space heater that I tested last winter and it would warm up the trailer and I had to turn it back on twice during the night to warm it up again I did my test with a two 100 amp batteries AGM's it took the heater about 20 minutes to warm up the trailer. the temps for the test was upper 30's in the day time and teens at night. I do need to insulate the floor a bit more I think it'll help to slow the cool down up a bit more. Keep in mind I can also switch the panels around as needed if one with the 4 panels is charged up I can switch them to the other AC 200 and put the 3 panels on the one that's fully charged. So do you think it'll work or am I wrong in my thinking your input is much appreciated.
