This video was so much fun! I come from a town in Brazil where we have the biggest Festa Junina in the world (Paraíba). We live and breath the month of June. Your video filled my heart with saudades (and some tears - I recently lost my grandma who was like one of these beautiful Portuguese ladies, feeding an entire crowd of people every single month of June for 40 years lol) What a great atmosphere, people, food... The coolest, craziest and funiest Danish in the biggest and craziest party in Portugal. If there was such a party in the Netherlands, where I live, there would be a grim atmosphere with fighting and vandalism everywhere. Portuguese know how to party! Thank God in 3 weeks I'll be there 😁!

Sardine bones are mostly harmless, because wit the heat they get soft, so it is not that easy to get one sticking in your throat. I ate about 10 sardines today, very fresh (unkike most of those in Santo Antonio which are frozen), perfectly grilled and no worries about the bones. But I am used to eat them since a little boy, so I learned how to get the most meat without bones :) Other fishes like atlantic horse mackerel, are not like sardines, their bones can be dangerous if swollen. It is wonderful how Joen blends in with the portuguese people.
