I just cannot fight off feeling envy. I lost my Dad when I was 8 and have to dig deep and cherish all the moments we had together. He used to take me out for hunting or just watching nature on the weekends. He was a forest engineer in Hungary (no not everyone has a rifle there). He was loving nature (especially taking pictures of nature and birds) and he was also a member of a hunting society where your main responsibility was to only hunt for species damaging the crops or to control overpopulation. We went out at 4AM in freezing cold and still very dark. He taught me how important it is to respect nature and all its wonders how to stay silent and take only what you can deal with and always keep in mind you are only a visitor in the forest and feel grateful for all what nature can provide. I am not religious nor was he. I miss him every time I watch your videos with your Dad having a great time. Every moment you can spend with your elders are precious. I had very little but they are all stored in my memory until I die. Give a hug to your loved ones and enjoy having them around. Learn to forgive them make an effort to make them laugh. Happy Xmas and a better New Year to everyone!

My father died 22yrs ago, but I did spend 39 yrars with him on the lake and end the woods hunting. He was also a turtle trapper and a fur trapper. I loved running those trap lines.

Ace you are so blessed to be able to make memories with your dad. Cherish him as much as you can please. You I wish I could've spent time with my dad. He was a WWII navy veteran who fought in Pearl Harbor. I was too busy doing my own thing and joined the Army. He passed when I was still serving in the Army. When I watch your videos with your dad I am so touched. Anyways stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas

when I was in the Corps (weapons company 2/3), the worst MRE main course was chicken ala king (aka ala spooge), but if you mixed it with ramen and tobasco sause, it was the best combo. I used to cook ramen at night in the squadbay using an iron and a canteen cup. Still love ramen and mre to this day.

My guess is that fish was in the 40 pound range. You’d be surprised on how much weight was left out by leaving it on the ground still. Most fish over 40 inches are in the 40 pound class.

hey ace, at saskatchewan, there is a lake called candle lake, you should go there and fish, because it consists of perch, burbot, white fish, walleye, and northern pike. I go there every year and usually catch keeper fish. but its winter here, so wait for summer unless you wanna go ice fishing

i would definitely recommend fishing for stripers on the ocean front or salt ponds in new england. during the fall when they run, you can run into blitzes which can have 40-50 to even 60 pound bass as far as the eye can see. anywhere coastal near large boulders or in salt ponds in rhode island and massachusetts, and deep areas with lots of structure and current in connecticut.
