Biggest Blackfin Tunas We've Ever Caught!!!

Hi, I have a question. My husband and I are new to fishing and we are having trouble finding fresh bait and having a hard time even fishing out of Hillsboro. Do you have any recommendations?

@@g2pangler thank you so much for your reply. Honestly our dream fish is Mahi but snappers, tuna, king fish or anything like that. For live bait we are trying to catch anything that will be good for the above fish. We have only caught a king mackerel once in the last month and grunts but nothing else. Not sure if we are going to the wrong places or doing something wrong. It’s very discouraging lol spending hours with no catch 😂

@@Liz-vu6bt mahi will be showing up in greater numbers as the year goes on and you’ll be able to run and gun to target them easier in the summer when its calmer seas. I’ve caught my personal best Mahi when on the troll for other species including tuna, wahoo, and kings. Have you watched my How to Troll Florida video yet? Was this the weekend of the new moon-14th and 15th? We had fished the 14th and 15th and had great success multiple sails kings and mahi. Along with some African pompano yellow tail snapper mutton snapper and yellow jacks. Depth 85-200ft on kites and slow pitch jiging.

It was the new moon last Saturday the 14th. I was dying to kite fish that day, afternoon breeze and current felt perfect. Sounds like you maximized it Michael! Everyone else I heard from at the end of the day said it was a tough bite. We had a slow start to the morning. Looking forward to fall sailfish season, sounds like it’s already kicked off!

@@michaelfina577 that last big one shocked me in the green king water. Threw off what I thought I knew about BFT only being in blue water.

Sometimes youll find them in there over the reefs but never that big.@@g2pangler
