Justin, good to see you again, it’s been awhile. Glad to see the lift kit went on fairly smooth, minus minor hiccups and it looks great. Nice work. Take care my friend.

Thanks Jim! Good to hear from ya. It’s been holding up great since the swap. I sure miss the air ride for hooking up trailers, but overall very happy with the new set up.
@jimlove37953 ай бұрын
@MrJustinWheeler that's where the air ride comes in handy when towing. It levels out the truck after the trailer has been attached. Take care sir.

Have you guys towed anything heavy with the switch? I feel like I need to change out my rear airbags they are getting sad and soft when I put a little weight in the back. Unsure about doing the switch. I was also thinking about adding more air suspension help where the bump stop is to help level it out when towing.

I recently took your advice and went the delete kit and honestly I couldn't be happier!! It's an awesome kit and a straight forward install. If it wasn't for you I would have ended up forking out over $6K at the dealer fixing the air suspension! Thank you sir!!

How much was the kit?
@AirDelete3063 ай бұрын
Awesome install video Justin! Quick tip for others installing this product - if you unbolt the sway bar end link in the rear, you’ll get the axle to drop quite a bit more and it will be significantly easier to get the rear coils in without a compressor. I thought we had that in the instructions but I’ll check tomorrow and get it added if not.

Great video as always Justin! When are we gunna get a look at that transmission fluid!?
@MrJustinWheeler3 ай бұрын
If you want to know the secret… I stripped the trans pan drain bolt while attempting to take a sample. That was a few weeks ago. I’ve since gathered some additional tools and am going to re-attempt it soon. 😅
@PrestonTocco3 ай бұрын
@MrJustinWheeler oh boy lol. Well, I will eagerly wait to see an update on this. My 19' Ram has 93k miles and the trans is a smooth as ever, so I'm probably not going to mess with it, but can't help but be curious how this "lifetime" fluid holds up over 250k! I'm honestly amazed that you have not had any transmission issues, it's quite incredible.
@MrJustinWheeler3 ай бұрын
@@PrestonTocco yeah I’m impressed myself. Especially considered how many miles of heavy towing I’ve done with it. But it hasn’t skipped a beat yet.

For you and anyone watching I did same lift on 2018 4th gen Rebel after 5 years of no problems they started first rear airbag then front not worth the trouble or money to keep fixing I love the new ride did an alignment and running true 35 s no problems could not be happier and never have the worry about a dropped suspension when I go out to the truck
@TheZman2142 ай бұрын
Love to watch your videos as I always encounter the same problems you come across. I have the same exact truck year and model and last month the dealer just replaced my engine at just under 80K miles due to a ticking sound that turned out to be failed lifter and metal shavings all in the ocv. And now I am experiencing the air ride problems.. really thinking about going with this kit..

Did you just throw a lift kit for a non air ride model onto your limited? Curious since a lot of these air suspension delete kits don’t really have anything that changes the plugs or cancels them out for the air ride Would love to know more about what you did to your truck

How's the ride comparison between the new shocks and springs install and the air ride system?
@MrJustinWheeler3 ай бұрын
It’s pretty comparable. It’s hard to say which one is “better”. I was worried prior to the swap about the ride quality feeling rough after the air delete. But that’s not the case at all. It’s a very good, smooth, ride.
