When Adam said "I'm not mad about it", I said outloud" Well I am mad about it "! But after a few minutes, I started feeling more sad than angry. Sad about all the dogs and cats roaming the streets day and night scrounging for food and the shelters who are worried about having enough food for all the animals they house. The waste in this country is deplorable!

I agree with you 100%. Here in Kentucky there are very few places that you can go to pick up low-cost or no-cost pet food for your pets if you are in a situation of need. And at one time I needed that help myself but now I try to buy and donate as much as possible but stuff like this really chaps my hiney so many starving animals out there get a retailer chooses to do this. Shame shame shame on them

Hell's bell's what an awesome haul. Dogs and cats will love you two for all that feed. Pity the no kill shelter turned you down,their loss, your gain. I have a shelter near me that would gladly take the food for the pets inside. Free dog and cat food is awesome. God bless you both.

If there is one thing, I love about Stacy, it's the love she has for her kids and her dogs! If there is some dog or cat you don't use rescues will take those and be thankful for the donations! Be careful what you take because I bet, they had a mouse issue, and they will trash the whole store if that's the case. I did see a few bags with holes in the corners and food falling out.

money. they can write it off as loss thus paying less taxes / getting a refund from the irs. they don't have to wait until the shelter people arrive to collect the donation so less needed storage space. the cherry on top? they create a shortage since the shelters have to buy the stuff they need, ergo are competing with every other pet owner thus raising prizes' is 'just a result of the markets demand'.

I know that in CA.. all shelters are so full with animals right now, that they'd be so grateful for donations like these. Maybe could hold pets longer for possible adoptions. Glad divers can at least get alot of stuff! Thank you for donating to local animal shelters and to people themselves. There are items in there I can even afford. This happened when stores do a reset or discontinue items. I worked at a non corporate store and we got to mark items at a discount. I loved it.

Shelters are struggling to keep their doors open and to see all this waste makes me sick....as the past president of my local animal shelter I know how hard we have worked to buy food, litter etc....with no money from the government all money raised from ticket sales on items or raffles....I'm so glad you got to save the amount of items you did....
