BIGGEST Kingfish I've EVER Seen while Barracuda Fishing!!

In this episode of BlacktipH, I take a group of fans on a fishing adventure off the coast of Florida to catch giant barracuda, kingfish and goliath groupers. We hooked a dolphin fish (mahi-mahi), and while Jennings was reeling it in, a massive barracuda tried to eat it! We pitched a live jack at the barracuda and hooked him! Dean fought the barracuda for several minutes before we landed it. After catching several barracuda, Jennings hooked an absolute monster! We fought this fish for over 15 minutes! As the fish got closer to the boat, both Carl and I immediately realized what we had! It was the biggest kingfish I've ever seen (well over 70lbs)! We carefully fought the fish and got it within gaffing range. Suddenly, the fish shook the hook and was gone. Both Carl and I were heartbroken; this kingfish was truly a "Fish of a Lifetime." After losing the kingfish, we started fishing for goliath groupers. We caught giant four monster goliath groupers before headed back to the dock.

Always have awesome content! and I very rarely comment on videos... but as a fishing guide, and a first mate for a few years, I personally would never talk to a client/ customer the way that gentlemen was taking to the man that was fighting that fish. Downright disrespectful and tasteless in my opinion, there are many different ways to coach and help anglers of all skill levels while they are fighting/ getting ready to land a fish. And I don’t agree with the way he went about it. Also showing his emotions/ dropping bombs and smashing the water is just unacceptable. I’ve had to hold my tongue on more than one occasion while a simple mistake had cost someone a trophy it’s not easy but necessary. You don’t break stride and just move forward. I believe he owes that man an apology. Enjoy the videos as always. Just had to say something regarding his actions. Tight lines ✌🏻

I haven't caught many big fish, but way back in 1973, I was fishing for Golden Croaker on a Chevron party boat about 5 miles off Grand Isle, Louisiana. While mopping up on the Croakers, I caught a sand trout and free floated it on a heavy rod, and made sure I was close to it. About 30 minutes later it started clicking and I quickly grabbed the rod. The King fish made a run under the boat, so I leaned over and put the rod tip in the water away from the props. I remember the Cajun Captain telling me in a gruff voice, boy, if you lost my rod, I'm gonna tro you over overboard...lol. I'm not sure what it weighed, I'd say about 85 lbs, and 5 feet long. I have a picture of me with its tail against my chin and its nose on the deck, and I'm 5-11. Along with the King, me and 4 other guys, caught over 500 1-1/2 lb Croakers. It was a fun time. :)

I just dealt with migraines for about a month and a half. Neurologist thought they were caffeine driven since I stopped drinking coffee. They were tension headaches. Fighting those fish tightens up the traps and causes them. Muscle relaxers and a few good brews will almost stop them
