Giant Barracudas Crushing Topwater Baits with Seal Skin Covers

I went fishing off the coast of Florida with Tim and Joey from Seal Skin Covers and the goal was to catch giant barracudas on topwater baits. We started the day off catching blue runners for bait. Once the bait well was filled we packed up and headed to the barracuda spot. The barracudas were fired up! Within seconds of dropping a blue runner in the ocean, a barracuda came flying out of the water trying to eat it. We caught dozens of barracudas, including two giants over 30lbs.

I was fishing in Mexico last week, we were trolling for Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna, and I ended up catching a 4 1/2 foot Barracuda (my PB) among other things, although I have to say, a lot less fun on the 30W than it is with a 6000 size spinning reel.

Great video Josh, that was epic!! Guys first time fishing and catches a 35+lb CUDA. Was just wondering, are barracuda good to eat?? I ask because I always see them being released, no matter how big or small they are.

You can eat the small barracuda's but the large ones you cant because they have high amounts of poison in them. Its also very dangerous to gaff them as they have very sharp teeth.
