I really want to say how much I appreciate this video. It's so nice to see your maturity talking about what happened and how you dealt with it. All the mental storm during that tense moment when you want so bad to give it another go but end up respecting your body and your time and just leave it. Your "project dive roll" videos is absolutely insane, you have really mastered this technique. Maybe you're the tracer that most appeared worldwide due a dive roll, by failing it, and despite the fact that all of those KZbin channels, instagram accounts and newspapers, that were fast to spread the fail, WON'T feature your "project dive roll" videos to show how amazing you actually are doing this move, you can be sure that all the parkour community, and anyone that see this video, appreciates how much you have evolve this skill, before and after the fail, and mainly, appreciates how you dealt with all the situation. Thanks for this video and congrats! Keep it up!

I love this kind of video that show the reality of "an extreme sport". A lot of people just see the final result and think oh this man is crazy , some people even think is easy, but they don't see the full process, the struggle, the fear, the preparation. So much respect.

You should bring some mats if you're attempting it again. that looks super hard not to over rotate. really enjoyed your project dive roll one of the best videos i've seen in a awhile you rock man !!
@Denester3 жыл бұрын
I have thought about that. However, the effort of bringing a mat down (I have no cars available) just for this one dive roll can seem a little too much. It only make sense to do it with enough confidence that you don't need a mat there. That's true Parkour to me

Great stuff. There is so much to learn from the level of commitment one must have to even attempt such feats. There is no room for half-assed attempts. One is either all in or not. Such an attitude translates into other arenas of life inside and outside of ourselves.

Hey man, honestly I think its really mature that you knew when to call it. You definitely have the technique to be able to land it, as the different practice steps you did all looked great. Even when you had the bad landing at the end, it seems like you might've been able to land it had you stayed rolled up. But I have no idea what it must've felt like, so maybe you knew keeping that final roll going might make you land on your face/head, so definitely could've been a lot worse. All that said, I'm sure you'll be able to pull off this and many other things as you continue to get more comfortable with this stuff, and just know that was one hell of a first attempt! That second location definitely looks like the better spot, that added distance should make it easier to slow down before the 2nd roll.

@Ruralset3 жыл бұрын
The fact that it's in a different spot but you're relating the move to another place is one thing that will let you fail. Its okay to be motivated by Dom but you have to bring the energy and capability in yourself by yourself when relating the movement to you and your body. It's a different roll and its a different body and it's your experience. I still do this at least, but it's just me and the move. Or me and the creative project
@captainsoarineagle3 жыл бұрын
parkour is about relating diiferent spots with the same move... Obviously no jump is the same but they will be similar. You can take information from one and roughly apply it to another just finem whuch CP did. He literally said he basically overcompensated the dive through wanting to do it and clear the wall.
@Denester3 жыл бұрын
The funny thing is I only realized that the dive roll at the other spot is not the exact same replica, only after doing the roll did I realize the difference. And even so I couldn't tell that it would've made that much difference. It's easy to spot that on hindsight
