Kevin and Ally have missed an important point in the new Dr Who series. It is the addition of the Disney Corporation who are now involved in the production. A couple of years ago a Disney executive producer discussed how they (DISNEY) insert the "not-at-all-secret gay agenda" into childrens programming. This said by Latoya Raveneau who said she was "adding queerness" wherever she can. Another Disney Executive Karey Burke has vowed to make at least half of the characters in the companies productions LGBTQIA and racial minorities by the years end, (end of 2022). Source is a New York Post article by Karol Marowicz published March 2022.) If this "Indoctrination" of children and young people into the Trans Ideological cult is the aim of Disney then I am not surprised that the new Dr Who franchise with Davies writing scripts has gone down the same route. Talking of Disney, a post by author and researcher Chris Rufo, published March 2022 reported on research done by CNN in 2014 who published a "a bombshell six-month investigation that discovered at least 35 Disney employees had been arrested for sex crimes against children, attempting to meet minors for sex, and possession of child pornography over the previous 8 yrs.". As Rufo said, "instead of promoting gender ideology in classrooms.....it would be better to identify and remove predators from within their own ranks". Have Disney done that?. Dr who should be "Cancelled by all right thinking parents who want to protect their children from the Trans AND Queer Ideology being pushed by Dr Who.
@MrsTabby19637 ай бұрын
True. This is why it is doomed, sadly. Disney are currently destroying their own brand quite successfully after embracing the trans ideology and D.I.E. diversity, inclusion and equity all of which mean the opposite. Mediocrity rules now, and it shows in all areas of Disney including the parks, films etc.

I listened to a couple of actors and other people involved in the nonsense Dr Who programme. They could hardly string a cohesive sentence together and said that they were proud that it is 'progressive'. Dr Who used to be groundbreaking and produced top quality entertainment where we could escape the world for an hour. Entertaining the VIEWER was the main focus of the show!!! The situation NOW is that the BBC do NOT give a damn about what the viewer wants. It is all about everyone involved in the production of Dr Who, making a programme, to suit their arrogant and sanctimonious agenda. Their focus is to make a programme based on THEIR politic ideology. They have more or less said that if WE don't like it, then 'stuff you'. They forget that their salaries are paid for by the British public. The once brilliant BBC has been destroyed. What woke causes are there for him to proselytise about in the three episodes left? Meanwhile the last story lost 500,000 viewers, so it's below what it was getting the last time it was cancelled. The lead actor is hardly in the show, because he was simultaneously filming his other role in Sex Education, and he has already announced that after two years he wants to go back to theatre. So effectively he's resigned from the show before he's even appeared in it. Disney only agreed to bankroll the show for two years so the could get the rights to screen Bluey. So RTD can do whatever he likes, because he knows whatever it is, the show will be cancelled by next year.

I'm still watching (since 1973), however it is cringe tv now. It has halved its viewers since Christmas day (an episode I really enjoyed as it happens giving me high hopes), Ncuti is crying too much, the stories never explain the outcome and don't make sense. We see teasing points that are then just completely forgotten about or never addressed as though half of the story is on the cutting room floor. I want to be entertained, but the constant DEI messaging outweighs the stories. Then we see the sexualisation and trans integration, it isn't to my taste at all. I've only watched this season’s episodes ONCE, I also did this with most of Jodie Whitakers run too, however prior to that it was only pantomime dross like Paradise Towers in the 80s that stopped me repeat watching! So yeah, I'm not sure I can watch much more of this shite, great effects and that’s about it - the polar opposite in fact of the Doctor Who I loved!

Remember when Disney released Pocahontas, the story about how white man bad. Remember how it wasn’t as financially successful as other Disney films during their renascence period? Notice how Disney then course corrected. These days, they have their agenda and they stick to it, no matter how much money they lose. It’s the same with DW - The Timeless Child plot line was hated by the hardcore audience and wasn’t even enjoyed by the casual, yet instead of course correcting, the writing staff are double and tripling down - when audiences have already shown they don’t care or like it. Doubling down on your message and using beloved franchises to peddle it (Star Wars, Marvel, Doctor Who) and then blaming the fans … the same fans who are responsible for the shows being passed down from generation to generation … then choosing to blame those fans when they switch off shows they’re not only incredibly arrogant but also completely disrespectful. They have a mission and message they want to peddle but they know no one would watch a new property so they take the skin of a beloved franchise (Velma is another example) and wrap their abomination in said skin as they know it’s the only way anyone will actually tune in to watch it.

I used to watch Doctor Who because I am a sci-fi fan and I have a nostalgia for the show as I watched it as a child. The Chibnall era was awful - if you tried to write a woke parody of the show, you couldn't beat Chibnall's effort; you could play woke bingo: Black composer? Tick! Black companion? Tick! Brown companion? Tick! Non-white Master? Tick! Female Doctor? Tick! Female AND black former incarnation of the Doctor? Double tick! Female political writers with no sci-fi experience? Tick! Gay relationship between a companion and the Doctor? (Almost a tick). Mary Seacole? Tick! Ada Lovelace? Tick? Rosa Parks? Tick! Global warming bad? Tick! The ratings dropped like a piano falling out of a window. The BBC would have known that the Chibnall's era failed because of the politics and they brought back Russell T Davies who is a much better writer than Chibnall, but instead of writing fun sci-fi, he doubled down on Chibnall. The Reithian mission of the BBC used to be to be to "inform, educate and entertain". Now it is to stuff its output with wokery. Why they want to do this is a mystery, particularly as Doctor Who must once have been a valuable property in terms of overseas sales and merchandising. And of course we are forced to pay for the BBC's bullshit through the licence fee. (As the BBC has given up on what it was founded for, it should be a subscription service). There are people on here that claim that Doctor Who has always been political, yes, but not relentlessly so, and also not at the expense of storytelling, and it wasn't the 'woke' bullshit of today. Chibnall marked the end of Doctor Who as entertainment.

Talking of Wales and the new speed limit, there was a time back in the Victorian era, when cars had to have a guy walking in front of the car with a red flag, warning people to get out of the way. Sounds like we are going back to those days.

I loved RTD back in the day when he knew how to write fun episodes. No more though. He came up with a story recently that was basically "white people are evil!" I don't need this kind of "entertainment, And "The Doctor" is awful. Just about the only character I like is Ruby.

I’m truly disappointed by the people who made this video or who have spread hateful comments. This new era is truly inclusive, hopeful and full of love. Yes, the show has taken a different turn, but that’s only to involve more and more people in the show. The fact that you are spreading hate just reflects your own personalities. If you don’t like the show, stop watching. Simple as that.

The single best thing the global west can do for the climate is to stop buying anything made in China, India, and any other country that is still building coal power plants. The next thing is for the global west to continue to work toward discontinuing coal burning power plant usage in their own countries by switching to oil. The global west should be increasing its nuclear power footprint.

The thing is, there are soo many well written shows that represent communities for example, Juice on BBC. The list is huge. The problem with Doctor who now is that the writing is focusing on identity before storytelling. Doctor who has always been political but this new season lacks any sort of talent or development other than the buzzword concepts. I’m still a huge fan but it’s clear Doctor who has begun to almost lecture the audience. Raising issues is brilliant but they never seem to find a resolution. It’s like they bring up an issue but never find an answer. It’s the equivalent of talking about a racist situation but thats it. Why bother addressing something if you’re not going to tackle it within the plot
@geoffberesford7 ай бұрын
They don't care about that. Their agenda is simply about planting their mind-conditioning thoughts and ideas into the minds of the vulnerable.
@rhythmbox33977 ай бұрын
Because RTD isn’t skilled enough as a writer to do this. He has been revered since the late 1990s and his ego needs its own galaxy to contain it. Unfortunately it sounds though like he is recycling plots and tropes continually. And because he is now primarily an activist, he has the ultimate partner in Disney to fuel his excesses. Because there is no nuance in his writing, and believes his own hateful hype, he points to racism in the audience. Ironically, there are so many black and brown actors who would have been incredible in the role under a different showrunner. Instead we get the regressive camp stereotype in Ncuti Gatwa’s performance because of RTD and Disney’s agenda. And as a gay guy I find it utterly cringeworthy and embarrassing.
@MusclesGlassius7 ай бұрын
@@rhythmbox3397 I’m starting to see a pattern now he’s had a couple big hits. I loved The second Coming, Cucumber, Its a Sin, Years and Years and his first era of Dr who but lately everything is so preachy. I went into this series with an open mind and defended the 60th specials by explaining that the trans inclusion was simply allowing that section of the audience to have representation. Moving on, the Doctor now seems to cry, run away and address everything as “Babe” or “honey”. The fact the Doctors sexuality is continuously portrayed feels almost like he has become a stereotype of a cliche “Gay Character”. I don’t think there is anything at all wrong with the Dr being gay but there are too many comparisons to human life. The Doctor has become too Human and has lost the commanding and authority of any situation he is in. I would of preferred if we left these traits for the companion, who acts as a surrogate for the audience. Last weeks episode was a bit too patronising and felt like the writer has a very large God complex wich also bled out onto the Doctors script. “I can save you all if you come with me” - yes, we were exploring bigotry in this episode ( very mildly) but by the dr taking the position of the saviour, it kind of defeats the whole impact of the overall moral message. Yet again, another IP show being pushed into the bubble of a social politically minded writer. Thanks for your reply, i agree completely

Sadly, all the polls say the Tories will be wiped out, I haven't been asked. Just because the left media push the agendas, we are all being brainwashed into being made to think the Tories are evil and Beer Starmer is the saviour, he hasnt a single policy apart from Tax and Spend, just like they always do.

Okay. This really frightens me. The homophobia, Transphobia, and discrimination in these comments are really disappointing. Being black, gay, transexual, a man crying isn’t political. It’s extremely upsetting. Progression in tv is a good thing. The stories are fantastic. And I’ve heard so many good things and reviews.
@unuser07 ай бұрын
I don’t know about these comments, I support LGBTQ. Having said that, when you watch entertainment, and it’s blatantly obvious the creators are desperately trying to push their political opinions and messages, it greatly degrades the quality of the show. It feels like they’re afraid to just have a regular story in that doesn’t include some sort of political messaging. The Doctor in the latest episode, was clearly retconned into being gay, in literally no other episode was this mentioned or even hinted at until this series. You can have gay love stories and LGBTQ without changing pre-existing characters to fit the narrative, take Captain Jack Hearkness for example. Along with this, the overall writing quality of the show has decreased, with episodes like ‘Space Babies’ that has blatantly bad writing, with terrible exposition and generally lazy writing and dialogue. It absolutely pales in comparison with the David Tennant era and the Matt Smith era. While I agree, progression in tv is certainly a good thing, when it’s forcefully shoved in your face with every episode, it tends to get annoying.

There's cannon and there's RTD. I know which one I prefer. He's taken 60 years and flushed it down the toilet. The only episode I liked in this series was 73 yards, I eventually worked out a senario that made sense to me. Jodi's episodes were awful, sad really because she may have been ok. I think Chibnal's era was confusing as well as woke. When the series returned in 2005 there were some great stories, but they've obviously run out of clever plots.
