Not an engine, but similar enough; year ago i did maintenance to gas compressors in oil refinery. Those were big enough for a slim guy like me to "worm-in". I´ll always get very well paid of those maintenances; surprisingly rare people voluntarily squuez themselves into tight spaces... many hard workers just say "don´t even ask... anything else but NOT that..." When you are "in", you move slooowly, maintaining calm mind. Same thing with every cramped spaces, like distilling columns. Avoiding snagging, which eventually happens, though... being calm you un-snag yourself easily, struggling would only makes it worse! I have a "thymb-rule", similar to how cats check if they fit through a hole; cats test with their whiskers if they fit in without any problem. If my hardhat withear protection cups fit, so will whole my body! No one ever mocks guys who don´t want to go down there, no one is forced to do that. It IS an eery feeling to have tons of steel around you, and you can barely move, not to mention that you have a "job to do"! Though every safety-measures done, some people designated just to overwatch everything, you still know that even if you just get stuck really bad, or get health issues... no one can help you!... It would take days to disassemble machinery or what ever from around you to give any help... Those cave-explorers and divers surely know what i mean!

Wartsila... from Finland. Was originally Wartsila (4 cycle), then Wartsila-Sulzer, with Sulzer being from Switzerland and a producer of large "medium speed" (200 - 900 rpms) diesels, including Radial engines. Wartsila bought them out to expand their line with Marine 2 cycle technology. All the very biggest, high output diesels, are 2 cycle. The are only a very few marine diesel manufacturers in the world that have lathes large enough to handle the machine work on the crankshafts of these engines, especially the 14 cylinder version of the RT Series Wartsila. Their engines (the RT-Flex96 Series) are produced at the Ulsan / Hyundai Heavy Industries plant in South Korea... and they also have an Engine Dynamometer there, that can measure and handle the power output of the 14 cylinder version... the only one like it in the world. Wartsila's RT-60 Series (3,210 bhp per cyl.) are made in Wartsila's plant in Trieste, Italy.

"In any system of energy, Control is what consumes energy the most. Time taken in stocking energy to build an energy system, adding to it the time taken in building the system will always be longer than the entire useful lifetime of the system. No energy store holds enough energy to extract an amount of energy equal to the total energy it stores. No system of energy can deliver sum useful energy in excess of the total energy put into constructing it. This universal truth applies to all systems. Energy, like time, flows from past to future".

How much cc
@marineinsight
@marineinsight Жыл бұрын
The formula for calculating the engine displacement or CC (cubic capacity) is: CC = (π/4) x bore² x stroke x number of cylinders Where π (pi) is a mathematical constant approximately equal to 3.14. Given: Bore = 960 mm Stroke = 2500 mm Number of cylinders = 14 Using the formula above: CC = (π/4) x 960² x 2500 x 14 CC = (3.14/4) x 921,600 x 2500 x 14 CC = 2.3562 x 10^12 cubic mm CC = 2,356,200 liters (rounded to the nearest hundredth) Therefore, the engine displacement or CC of the given engine is 2,356,200 liters.

thank you, prevent effect of global warming, minerals and temperature of water and air from sea are huge source of energy, reduce more than 50% using fossil fuel, fresh water, fertilizer(minerals+o2,n2,C), zero pollution, economy will rise by using jet plasma machine and compressed gas(Air) in isolated structure in water pool with more than 80 % efficiency, it has two vertical cylinders, in first level it transfers compressed gas(hot air) temperature from engine to sea water in pool for steam electric generator, steam combines with high cold Air pressure to produce pure water and electricity , New energy from sea will change world soon, there are other source of energy that with international cooperation in coastline we can reduce effect of global warming, further more we can prevent these phenomena like cyclone and flood and wildfire by using this hot seasonal atmospheric condition, recent years in summer, geothermal energy happens in surface of coastline, there are many countries in coastline with seasonal hot weather and water condition in comparison with middle Ocean, its more than 12 degrees ,this differences must decrease, in sum-up, by using this energy not only is economical but also reduce global warming in countries like Japan, China, India, Mediterranean countries, Iran, Brazil, Mexico, Us, Canada, (Africa and Arabian countries....) . I invented new method base on air pressure rules and quantum physics ionization sea water minerals in strong dynamic permanent magnet(SMCO) with special frequency(1500or 3000)/minute bases on paramagnetic and diamagnetic particles and electrical microwave electron wave field and electric chemical reactions and photon wave from semiconductors with special angle Cations like(K+, Mg++, Na+, H+, H++, li+, H2, ...) are transferred to in the second level into up level by vacuum pump from storage into combustion chambers and they combine with O2 and N2 ,... as major part of fuel they increase speed of machine, modern induct Giri box to control opposite direction, for producing electricity and fresh water (removed minerals by accelerate ionization sys from sea water) and fertilizer. this machine produces 150Megwatt/hour and 20000M3/DAY fresh water and fertilizer. 7 methods zero pollution for reducing global warming I mentioned in my profile. (G20 countries can solve these phenomena).
