Thanks for making this video. I just bought the same unit. I checked KZbin for a review video because I couldn't work out how to secure the gels. This is because my front lens ring was stuck tightly inside the cap and I didn't realise they separated. I was thinking I'd have to buy a separate lens filter but after watching your video I gave the cap an extra tug, and I was delighted to find it detached from the metal ring! Very happy with the unit. I did take the fixed lens off (held with 3 small screws) and as you mentioned in another reply it's not a standard fit for swapping lenses. The dearer version of this unit has a different front section (secured with 3 spring loaded nuts) which allows you to screw on attachments such as a Canon EF adapter. If they sold this front section separately I'd definitely buy it for ultimate flexibility.

My front ring is screwed on so tightly that I cannot get it off. It does not help that the lens itself moves when trying to turn the ring. I will have to return my unit simply because it is impossible to get that ring off. Weird design choice.

Do you know what is the approx focal length of the lens and is it removable so i can attach Nikon or Canon adapter on it ?

The lens is fixed, but you can remove it if you really wanted to. It would be fiddly, but it is possible. However, there won't be a way to secure a different lens. I can't find out the focal length sorry. Hope that helps.

Hi, how wide is the projection angle? And how far from a wall do you need to have the light to make a certain size spot? i.e. at 2m the largest image you can project is 1m across... Thanks otherwise for a great and clear review.

hey thank for your video. its enough bright for still photo at F 5.6 and iso around 200 - 400 for sl60w with those gobo. i hope your answer this. thanks

Thanks for the tutorial. Can the lens be changed? Is it a general mount like Canon's EF mount or Nikon's F mount?

Sadly you can’t change the lens over. Possibly you could if you removed the screws and fitted a new lens, but it’s not designed for this or attached with a mount

Hello. Is this device better than Godox S-AP with SA-17 adapter? I bought Godox and it is dimly lit. Used for a Godox SL150//

I'd say its about the same but cheaper. I'm happy with this using a godox SL60W

I've not used this for a strobe but it can work on a strobe. I reviewed the bowens mount version, but there are other mounts available
