Finally, a proper Strongman competition. Outdoors, great location, and really strong lads lifting heavy stuff that isn't your regular gym barbell
@shahaf75Ай бұрын
This is the best Strongman competition of the year! Not fancy, not pretending to be a powerlifting competition and put as much weight as only 2-3 of the field can lift, not run by TV obsessed in getting optic for TV views sometime in the next year. Just raw, demanding, and fun to watch!
@claudiaforstner6533Ай бұрын
True! Its my favorite Comp❤
@Jwt1983Ай бұрын
I wouldn't say the best, but definitely the hardest, that separates the men from the boys!
@simenandersen3262Ай бұрын
Agree! Problem with Smoe is that half the field zeroed on 2 events, so the 9th place competitor ended up on the podium 😂
@GaComicsnMoreАй бұрын
SMOE is trying to find just that, the strongest man, in a sport called Strongman. People complain WSM isn't heavy enough, now there's a heavy comp and people complain about that.
@Adam-bw6djАй бұрын
@@simenandersen3262That same 9th place competitor won 5 out of 8 events. He deserved a podium place. The others should step up.

One of my favorite shows of the year. Completely rock'n'roll, weather sucks, nothing is ideal, just get out there and deal with it. Brutal.
@wreckastow5261Ай бұрын
100% agree with you. The crappy weather just makes everything so much more hardcore

42:44 My favorites moment. Shane Flowers completely looks like he isn't even going to try the last log. Then he hears people say he can do it so he tries. That pure emotional rush of pushing past the boundaries Shane put in his own head. Love seeing that.

That hand over hand event looked brutal.

Whoever else has done a lot of manual labor in cold conditions, you could feel their hand pain through the damn screen.

Why do you call him the Toffee King? Is it because he likes the candy? I am genuinely curious.
@HubertTheMadАй бұрын
@awallner1 yup, that's basically it! It's been so long that I can't remember if it was a video or he, himself saying that he likes to eat Toffee, but we all say it as a jest. I think there's a vid of him getting donuts or pastries too before training or something similar

@Fortress333Ай бұрын
Excellent competition. Looks like everybody was having a blast of a time and everything ran smoothly. Also very heartwarming to see the Polish Terminator rise again. Flowers' emotional moment after the log press was also felt. Those injuries must have been terrible to deal with. This sport gets the best out of people. By the way, that huge man who took 3rd place is one to watch. Andrew who? He looks like a humongous farmer with natural strength through the roof.
