Im a longtime Thor fan, when he gets that press up (and he just about strict presses it, using very little leg drive) hell be hard to beat...that being said, Mitch is just incredible, theres no getting around it, hes the guy to beat for the next couple of years, neck and neck with Thor.

Hafthor is definitely progressing getting his overhead power up. He could have done 2 or 3 more reps if he had more time, which is a good sign. Really looking forward to see his progress over the next 8 weeks. Let's go Thor!

Biby always gets a lot of respect for his log lift, and clearly, he is amazing and probably the best ever. I do sort of wonder what some others might be able to do if they focused as hard on one lift as he gets to, rather than full comps.

Hooper pressing 210 on the log is absolutely insane! I hope next year Tom and Mitch will compete here so we can see maybe 214-215kg log will be pressed by one of them. Hooper is like a Pudzianowski with insane static strength as well

The return of King Hafthor brought a lot of new faces and former fans back to strongman. My girlfriend and I can't wait for the Rogue Invitational. Iron Biby should also take his Axle press record back. Hooper's split jerk was a black mark to strongman overhead spirit.

I know the axle involves the clean but claiming the record when biby push pressed it indeed is a black mark in strongman. It's called the axle press mind you, not axle split jerk. it is a running, annual competition but I dont remember anyone of note competing in it ever. At most Ive seen people go for weightclass and junior records at his show or to hit a pb but I doubt youll ever likely ever see someone with real potential to hit a massive press like Biby or Hicks at that show

In a way you're right, big z and Brian were the only ones who could hold back the Icelandic dude and there's a reason why 2018 Thor was the highest peak of a human Lineup fell weak again in 2019 and 2020 when Thor went on to become even more stronger but nothing pushed him

To be honest, i was most impressed with Liz' performance, great effort! Thor is thor, always does well, n biby was amazing, but we all knew he could it, and he defo has more in the tank(the press is easy for him, as long as the clean is okay, he could do 240 soon enough), so really Liz coming 6th in first comp is brilliant going! 💪😎👍

It is weaker than 2017 to 2020 lineup for sure, Thor didn't even have to pass the 1000 pounds mark to win the deadlift, no way that the 2017-2020 versions of Jerry Pritchet, Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, etc would allow him to do that.

Mitch is a great strongman but ain't no mariusz. Mitch has won 1 wsm, that's strongman biggest most prestigious title by far, it's a gold Olympic medal of the sport. To be considered in that crowd he needs more than a single win, Tom is the current #1 since he is the reigning WSM, mitch fans will bring up the torn callouses, but Tom is autistic and that's a far far bigger hurdle to compete and generally function with than an ouchie
