In the 70s I had a couple of streamlined coronation class locos. A blue one and a burgundy one. I ran them with teak coaches, all Hornby 00. A good review. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Regards, Stephen.

I do have this coach as well as the rest of the LNER Coronation rake, currently for me they are the best coaches that hornby have ever made and when they are altogether and being hauled by an A4 they just look superb, onto my rake I mainly use it with my model of Dominion of Canada which my one is a Bachmann model, great video overall here Matt. I don't think there's anything I can say about that observation coach which looks truly remarkable throughout in amazing detail including the close up of the inside.

You paired the observation car with the correct steamy: the A4. You can't have the LNER observation car without the rest of the matching coaches. Surely you can afford a few of them. It doesn't matter if you only purchase four coaches, the train will look better as a whole. In any case, don't go overboard. Christmas is only a few days away. Merry Christmas.

This is an amazing model, however I couldn’t justify getting one as it’s only really suitable with 1 or maybe 2 locos and I’d want at least 2 of the coach packs to go with it. I am hoping Hornby make the BR version that ran on the West Highland Line as this is a bit more versatile with what it can run with
