I completely agree with James and his Ferrari/cheese comparison, it almost seems like car companies make cars that are almost as good as they can be, then make a "special edition" that actually is as best as it can be and charge a ridiculous increased price

I can relate, sort of. In 1989 I bought a custom ordered Mercury Grand Marquis LS. A very lovely, large, near-luxury barge if ever there was one. Then for a mere $185 I upgraded from the 160hp 5.0 (really 4.9) litre V8 to the 351W (5.8 litre) V8 with 210 Hp. Then I added the Trailer Tow III Package for an amazing $550. The only things unmodified were the front brakes and the actual body panels and interior trim. The thing would accelerate like a Mustang, leave the Mustang behind in the corners, and sipped gas like a Honda Civic!

And then they make the plus and pro max versions for people who can afford them and they get more features But car companies have to have cheaper versions of their performance cars, otherwise they’d go out of business if they just sold expensive cars and nothing else

friendly reminder that ferrari makes a car which you can buy but you cannot have it if you ask ferrari nicely they MAY decide they will bring your car that you bought from them somewhere so you can drive it for a bit and then take it away again whoever buys anything from that company is beyond help

“Ooh he’s broken the machine” is easily one of the funniest moments ever between these three. All of them earnestly participating in such a stupid joke is a right laugh. I just watched the last episode of the Grand Tour S3 the other day and I think this moment’s in there, and it sure deserves it.

Hammond and Oliver was the best romance ever ^_^ And it worked so well when they crossed the desert because cpt Slow and the orangutans car where so big and heavy they had to smash and remove everything except the frame, tyres and engine. And they still failed and got stuck. Little Oliver was nimble and quick and just ran across the desert like it was the A1 :D

7:55 is, honestly, one of the best moments that The Hipster and The Fat One shared, and was one of the first things that got me into these guys' work many, many moons ago. Hearing Clarkson screaming for his life the way he did on that old French car made me laugh hard, and it still does. Personally, it's still a Top 5 Moment for me.
