I think global handwriting is Bigme's competitive advantage when it comes to Enotebooks, and they don't even realize it. If I were their marketing manager, I would make that the key highlight of their products.

Correction and tip. In the video I note that the buttons on the case do not work in every situation. That still seems to be true, but by changing the settings under ‘Page key definition’ to 'DPAD Left /DPAD Right', I got the buttons will work in Kindle where I had not gotten that to work before. So, in most cases where there is page turning, the buttons appear to work, but if they don’t in a particular situation, try the three different options in this setting and that might fix the issue.

Do you think it's possible that Boox will eventually have an update that includes global handwriting and fixes the highlighter feature? I am am a bit disappointed that my Note Air 3C feels lacking in those areas.

My biggest frustration with Boox, a company I do like, is that while they do innovate, they don't seem to learn from any of their competitors. For example, it would take very little for Boox to have something similar to Supernote's star-marking system, but they just haven't bothered to implement anything like that. So that makes we think that they won't bother with Global Handwriting either. Bigme has done no favors for themselves by making Global Handwriting a bit cryptic. I'm hoping to do a focused video in May that goes a bit deeper on the topic than I did in this video and shows why that's such a cool feature (and just explains how the dang thing works!).

@@jeffreymoss so maybe I don't understand the star marking system well enough then because on my Note Air 3C if you put a star in front of a line of text you can then search for that star throughout the Notes App. Maybe it's a bit more clunky that Super note but feels very similar to me?

@@jenniferdubay3769 Thanks for calling that out! I wasn't aware of the asterisk system until you brought it up. However, it appears to be not as good as the star-marking system. To quote a reddit post: "you have to make an asterisk next to the word and there is no signal the asterisk did anything. Once you’ve drawn the shape, accessing the menu to access the list of asterisk’d items requires you to open the search menu, then go to the ‘handwriting’ tab, then you have a menu with two symbols and you have to tap the asterisk symbol to finally see the notes." - asurarusa

Would you recommend it to read a lot of pdfs and highlight words

The ideal size for PDF reading and marking is 13", but those devices are quite expensive. The next best option is a 10" device, which can allow you to see half the PDF page at a time in landscape mode. Moving down to 8", which this device is at, I think starts to get a bit too cramped for PDFs. It can be done, but really you are better off going a size up.
