Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. Dimash is the most talented singer we have ever seen: his range is insane (more than 6 octaves, all registers fully mastered), he can sing every genres (pop, folk, opera, rock, ballads, even rap...), he has an incredible stage presence, a total control of his breath, and is a very beautiful person (humble, respectful, polite, he really transcends borders, cultures and religions). There are of course other amazing singers, but Dimash is beyond everything we have known so far: the next level, the ultimate performer. Nobody can beat Dimash he is in a league of his own. He competes with Young Dimash2017 and the Dimash2021 here in Stranger his English has improved a lot and his stage performance is in another whole level too. I can't wait for what will come next. That was quite a first reaction to the GOAT of singing. I still get totally amazed and teared up after watching 3 years worth of first reactioners to Dimash. Those of us addicted to Dimash's voice and performances are called Dears. The reason Dimash has so many people "addicted" to him is that he is also a great person and ambassador for his country. Kazakhstan. He's also blessed at singing in many many different languages. If you want to try something similar and just as jaw-dropping then Olimpico is a great choice. S.O.S. and Adagio too.

That is a Qobyz ( I think that is how it is spelled) and it as I understand it is a traditional instrument of Kazakhstan, maybe Turkey as well. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. Try Dimash SOS from his digital 2021 concert. It is his signature song. He sings in a host of languages while being totally fluent in his native Kazakh, and Russian with English becoming a third and a little Mandarin on the side. He has an extensive range and sings any genre he chooses. He is also a very humble artist, always very gracious and appreciative. SOS will be in French.

I believe either qobyz or kobyz is correct as Kazakhstan has only relatively recently transitioned from Cyrillic alphabet to Roman. I believe they’ve settled on q for the k sound. For example, we’ve seen Dimash’s family name represented by both Kudaibergen and Qudaibergen. Fun reaction to one of my favourites!

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. He has performed songs in 15 languages; Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Sicilian, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Arabic, and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue, he speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. Dimash is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin, which he says is a challenging language to learn. Dimash plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. He usually performs for more than two hours during live concerts and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles. A good professional vocalist has a range of about 3 octaves. According to some analysts, Diamsh's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash may go down in history as the most extraordinary vocal talent known to man. The instrument is the Kobyz. It's a 2 stringed instrument, with one string made up of 75 horse hairs, and the other string made from 60 horsehairs (and the curved bow which is made with 40 horse hairs). The strings aren't pushed down to a fret, but rather are played with pressure by either the fingernail, or by a pad on the finger, as well as the tones varied by the pressure of the bow.

I am a 52-year-old married woman with five children, and of my kiddos passed away in a drowning accident 21 years ago. At an early age I learned to close off my emotions just to survive life. My First 27 years of life were filled with violence, Substance abuse, self-induced trauma, isolation, and lonelinesses. I spent the next 22-ish years trying to rebuild my life, grabbing every tool i could find! Sobriety, counseling, meditation and faith, medication, eating right, and just about every other thing i could think of. However, life was still so damn difficult. God had blessed me with two beautiful autistic children that He also gave me the love and compassion to raise; but almost zero help. So.... ENTER Dimash. 3 years ago, i was so sick that i could barely get out of bed. I have Systemic Sclerosis and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.... always a fatal mix. I heard two songs by Dimash that just opened my soul, SOS and Olimpico. I feel like they saved my life., to be honest. I was so sick I could barely get out of bed, I was using oxygen every day, and i was fighting to just keep going. I feel like emotionally I had lost my will to live. I used to listen to Olimpico for an hour straight everyday for a year. Slowly but surely, i began to fight to live. Now i am up every day and I actually am riding my bike with my little doggie. He is a miniature-pinscher and the best friend i could ask for 💕. Please keep listening and allowing the beauty of Dimash's gift to open your heart to whatever the Universe has in store your you Nick. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!
