Can we put aside his alien vocal range for a minute and talk about how incredible well he presented the theme of the song? The song was about a person beginning a new chapter of his life and wondering if he has the strength to make it there. The eastern sound that he made in the middle of the song sounded so foreign, so strange, so fit with the idea of the song. The last note was sung with conviction showed how determined he was to make it in this new world.

Thanks so much, for your reaction and analysis to my favourite ever Dimash song - and I couldn't agree more, in saying it's the best thing he's ever done! And though I've been a Dear for more than 2 years already, he never ceases to amaze and surprise me, every single time - you think I'd have learned by now, that the only thing to expect from Dimash, is the unexpected! I mean, just in terms of technical ability, the song is astounding - as you mentioned, the lowest note was a C2 in chest voice, way down in the bass register, and the highest an F6, a struggle for even female sopranos to hit (higher even, than the sound I made whilst breaking my pinky toe this week by dropping a jar on my foot - very ouchy, yet still true!😆), before that crazy F#5 ending, in the form of an extended rock belt that lasted for at least what, half an hour, lol?! But for me, it's his charisma on the stage, his presence and power and ability to *become* the song and the music that gives him that little extra something that just pulls you in, and peers into your soul - which in my case would only show the space where my share of talent was supposed to be, but was gifted to Dimash instead, lol! But hey, he puts it to far better use than I ever could - and I'd owe him twice as much and more, for all the happiness he gifts my heart in return! The best singer in the world for sure, and I honestly just love him to bits - he's such a sweetheart, and a gorgeous-looking one at that! - so thanks again, for helping spread the word on this incredibly talented and beautiful human being! Although Dimash always nails every single performance and has many stunningly beautiful, perfect vocal performances (eg, Ogni Pietra, Sinful Passion, Ave Maria, Know, etc.), I agree with you in that this is the best Dimash performance because here he sings in many different octaves, colors, genres, immediate octave and pitch transitions… No one could come close to covering this complex piece. And then the chorus, pianist/composer, Igor Kruger, the instrumentalists, costumes, drama…just everything…make this a genius masterpiece.

If you read the information box below the original video and you will see that it was Dimash that had the idea to add the Qobyz and Olzhas Qurmanbek the best Qobyz player in the world. It's a kobyz, which pre-dates the cello and violin by about 4000 years and was developed around Dimash's area. This one is a particularly excellent historical reproduction as the originals are largely in museums. And the artist is probably the best kobyz player in the world.

With beautiful chords from the “KOBYZ” (a two-string Kazakh instrument), Dimash give us a high level of mastery and perfection of his voice. It is completely out of the ordinary how Dimash Qudaibergen manages to convey extremely different emotions by singing almost exactly the same lyrics but using a different dynamic, a different key, a different timbre and different sound production techniques! He begins with the shyness and doubt of a stranger who enters a territory totally foreign to him (when he plays in the piano mode and with sounds surrounded by breath), moves on to the desire to try his strength to achieve a new beginning in life (then when he achieves that magnificent passage through the whole spectrum of his vocal rank using very different techniques of singing on each register) and reaches the end to have the power of the winning hero who not only tried, not only fought but finally defeated (when he shows us the power of his belting and that high and super long note of 20 seconds)! I only scored 3 moments, but they were more because between the choruses there were 2 slightly different moments of storytelling, but both in his register below the bass-baritone and there was another chorus (in total there were 4 choruses and two slightly more parts of the story, all in different dynamics, different keys and very different vocal techniques performed impeccably from a technical point of view, but also with strong emotional effects in the sense of impressive and maximum effect on the audience that practically listened to the whole song almost hypnotized)! For me it was the perfect song of the moment and it was a sublime demonstration of how much Dimash Qudaibergen can still progress even though he is already far beyond his contemporaries !
