So fun fact. There is actually "lore comics" for each of the characters that gives a hint of why they are at the table. The rhino is interesting because he's actually depressed but hides it behind gambling. He's secretly scared about dying and probably being a failure around others, so that's why he shakes his hands when he puts the gun up to his head: he's scared. Edit: To request, I'll give my prediction/assumption from the Table Stories Tab about each character: Each table story has Chicken Little's Dad and Bojack Horseman Bar dude talking about each of the characters involved in the game. Here's what the comic and dialogue seems to hint with each of the current playable characters: A) Scubby (the doberman) seems to lost a younger brother in some incident that happened to him, and keeps a photo of him and his younger brother with him at all times. He gets very sensitive talking about it, and is upset at himself for his brother's supposed death. B) Foxy (the fox) seems to be a homeless or poor fox that had no real ability to keep something for herself. As she "looks sad all the time" and "grew up without anyone." She could probably be a prostitute trying to make a living. She is, however, in love with Scubby, but struggles to get his attention. c) Bristle (the pig) is a serial killer/psychopath. Dude is actually like, mentally not there, and probably is a killer or butcher or something. Even Bojack doesn't want to talk about Bristle. d) Toar (the bull) has some guilt to him. He did something that he didn't "man up" for and suffered some consequence about it. Whatever consequence that is, he uses this gambling game as a way to cope or deal with such actions he did in the past. He seems to blame himself for something, or has regrets about his past - similar to Scubby in a way. e) Cupcake (the rabbit) is wealthy. Chicken Little Dad and Bojack horseman tells us that her lover or whatever is assumed to be wealthy, but "didn't leave anything. Not a house. Not a single penny." My head canon is that she probably killed her rich boyfriend or something, siphons finances from him, and uses his money to gamble. Unlike the other characters who does this from guilt or status in some way, she seems to do it solely because she loves it. I'd argue she's probably more of a psycho than Bristle lol f) Gerk (the rhino) is described above in my original post. I can deduct he is actually depressed as Bojack tells Chicken Little Dad: "He's not like the others. HE loves the life... maybe a little too much." Where in the panels, we see him laughing and seemingly enjoying the gambling life, wearing all the jewelry and bling he has, but is obviously crying, but not because of laughter. I'm excited to see more characters involved in this game, and I hope for a VR version! I would love to see a full walk-through of the area, have background information about all the NPCs, and see if the photos in the bar itself can tell us a story.
