I really like this knife. The blade shape is fine for me, but I do not cut rope (maybe twine once in a while). I really like the deep carry. It disappears in the pocket.

Just snagged one on Amazon cyber Monday for a super price of $30. Mine is not fidget friendly after 3 days of and many deployments. It’s a biaaaaatch to flip and cut out useless for reverse flick. Can slow roll it. Went to dissemble it and investigate / tune and the pivot is not a ‘D’ or shouldered and spins. Heated up to loosen thread locker and still spinning. I want to love it for its unique blade shape and general Kubey fit and finish but it’s going back if I can’t take it apart and maintain / tune it ☠️☠️☠️🎲

I’m thinking that slight recurve would sharpen out over time. Pretty standard “knife looking” knife. D2 is a fine steel for a user. Companies put D2 on a slipjoint and everyone calls it an upgrade! Thanks JB and thanks to Bryan!

Wow I am getting to the Big Red late today. Wait I am confused. Is this the Kuby Dark Knight KU003 or the Kuby Darkness KU003? both look exactly the same, both have the same specs and both have the same model number. Did Kuby just rename and existing knife?

The only thing that gets me is the d2/ bead blast combo. Bead blast isnt good at resisting rust. N d2 u know isnt stainless. Im fine with d2 but another finish next time
