A few years ago in Michigan I went to a truck show and while I was there I saw 'one of many'. and when I first laid eyes on to her, my heart broke and a smile came out to my face, because she was so beautiful and unique just like me. I was born with autism, it's not the absolute bad kind but it isn't all the good it's a mix between the two. and that truck almost brought me to tears when I first saw her, and now every time I see a picture of her I have a smile on my face as I feel proud that I have autism. God bless every man, woman, and child that had autism, because they are so unique in their own ways

I was diagnosed with autism when I was 28 years old. I have a high functioning version of it called Aspergers. It was a real shock to me when I was diagnosed because I'm thinking to myself how in the world am I going to cope? A few years later at 33, I've learned how to control it and manage it to where I want to open my own business and use it as an inspiration for others who might be struggling with it. Thanks for the support, this is the kind of thing our community needs to see!

Awesome truck, really liked the punched out lettering on the cab panels. The discussion on electronic logging, I feel for this guy it's a hard topic to talk about without coming across as some outlaw cowboy breaking all the rules(I completely agree with him) the media and law enforcement it seems have successfully brainwashed most of the industry into thinking this way. electronic logging or not we need more flexibility in the HOS so nobody is "breaking the law." Most guys are honest and hard-working and have a pretty good idea on what they are capable of working and the system we have now is making criminals out of these guys just trying to provide for their families. The HOS is obviously not ideal for the industry otherwise the FMCSA wouldn't have all their statistics and propaganda in which they prop up ELD's in the form of violation reductions. If so many folk are in violation to the point that a mandate needs to be implemented that only serves to add another cost and takes away the ability of a grown man/woman to use their experience and judgement in a decision making process such as when they are okay to drive then perhaps the problem is not that we need to burden and restrict the industry more, but take a look at why so many people are in violation of these rules and why they clearly don't work. They are working this situation ass backwards and it's going to do a lot more harm before it does any good!
@marioedwards7826 жыл бұрын
Daniel Bazinet I agree with you, ELDs for owner ops is nothing but a way to kick the little guy out of the industry and let the mega carriers run everything. it's no different from a small business and corporate, small businesses take care of their ppl and customers whereas mega carriers bend over backwards for the customer and not the little guy. I honestly don't see the point in ELDs or any type of logging, common sense should tell you that you are fatigued.

This is great truck I myself have borderline Asperger's syndrome and in a few months Im going to get my CDL, no matter how many times it takes to get my CDL I'm getting mine , it's not a very big accomplishment for me to being able to get my CDL, there are some people with autism that are either worse off with it but there are also people that have a less of autism then I do, but remember regardless of what you're disability such as autism or other disabilities, that we are not disabled we just have a different ability
@IndigenousAmericanTrucker Жыл бұрын
He is not lying about people in his area that leave about 3-4am to go to Washington D.C. for work and don't get home to 6-7pm! I live in Washington D.C. myself, and I've taken many loads to and from his area I'm Front Royal and Winchester VA, which is around 100 miles away give or take. Those government workers be hustling, and then gotta drive that long distance right after sitting in thick rush hour traffic on I-66! It's like clockwork coming back from Front Royal at about 4am, and all those country folks are hitting I-66 for Washington D.C. to go to work. The crazy part is that I'm tryna apply to this company, which means I'm tryna go the opposite direction of those government workers, lol! This company appears to take pride in their equipment, and that's where I need to be. I'm looking for a home, and what better place than a company that thinks like me, which is to take pride in your equipment! Not sure if they will take me on, but I hope so!

I get it autism is a terrible thing that shouldn't be wished upon anyone. I feel for those havin to cope with it and those caregiving. But the one issue I have with it is that there is sooooo much in my opinion there are some things that could have been left alone to make me not feel this way. I am fully on board for awareness but just a little too much
