I keep being reminded by you beautiful loc'd people to loc up soon! lol, I want to install my own, but parting my hair is so difficult because my scalp is stretchy. So when it looks like I've made a straight part and start twisting, it turns out crooked D: lol. That's pretty much the only reason why I haven't started my loc journey because of the parts.
@QueenAlita7 жыл бұрын
Just do random parts...that way you won't be stressing about clean, neat parts, you just let your hair be...one less thing to worry about.

Thanks again for another great vid! I follow a lot of people but you are my fav and I love your mantras...working on my spiritual side as well...all part of my journey :-) I live in Boston and most people have super tight, styled locs and that is not my thing. I already have thin edges so I leave them alone, aside from castor oil massages. if I pull my hair up, I just loosely pin it off my face. So far, so good...4 months in!
@BigSpiritEnergy7 жыл бұрын
Leeta White yes! Keep it loose! Your edges will come back in time! Locs are so beneficial for that!

hey! love your hair and your free spirited personality. I am 10 months locked and I agree with your routine. I use all natural products on my hair too and recently made a rose water+vitamin E+ vegetable glycerin mix. we'll see how that goes. but as far as product to retwist roots, I try to be a minimalist. I found that retwisting my locs with just plain water does the trick. my hair looks no different then when I use a product. my edges are another story. they are really soft and may need a loc & twist gel to jeep then together. I like the kind by ORS (white jar, purple top. made of mostly coconut oil and leaves absolutely no build up).

Which brand of vitamin e oil are you using? I've been trying to find a legit one. Thanks Queen 👑
@MeMyself9847 жыл бұрын
Breyona Devenport --- Hi! not sure if you have a Whole Foods store near you or just any health food store but I found a pure Vitamin E oil today. it has 32,000 i.u. which I think are like units for vitamins. but looking at the ingredients on the back, there is no other oil in this hat but vit E. the scientific name for vit E is: Tocopheryl Acetate. that's what you want to look for. hope this helps.

Yea ppl told me about shea butter too... but my shea is whipped as well. However, I recently bought raw shea for my hands #BecauseWinter and I wouldn't dare put that in my locs. It almost like wax lol nooooo Aloe gel left residue in my hair, but everyone's hair reacts differently. I no retwist with water or water and oil. No frills lol Locs looking good gurl. Leeta White natural hair people usually make it!
@mysskay7 жыл бұрын
Leeta White I buy shea butter, add oils and then use a hand mixer to add air and create a light, whipped shea butter. Larger concentrations of coconut oil yield the best results. I generally use a combination of different oils. The more oil, the easier it is to apply. You can experiment with concentrations until you figure out the perfect balance of butter and oil
@mysskay7 жыл бұрын
The longer you mix/blend it, the more whipped and light it will be 💆🏾♀️
