I have received a lot of comments about doing an Orbeez pour so why not give it a go today. I try both round and square ones to see which works best. And as I had a heap of empty cans why not use them . Be sure to have an awesome weekend and I hope you all enjoy todays video.
Now Guys if you Feel like supporting the channel it wont cost you a cent as you can Simply just donate some of your time. HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Hey there all you beautiful people how are you all on another Friday? Is it just me or is time going way too quick🤔? I reckon I've received hundreds of comments saying to do an orbeez aluminium pour so why not try it today. I tried the square ones as well to much disappointment but the round ones work just fine. So sit back relax and as always have an awesome safe weekend😁👋🏻

I think those make awesome unique art pieces, even the square ones! (I didn't know they made square orbeez!) but I'm curious, why doesn't it cause a steam explosion pouring the hot aluminum on the wet orbeez?🤔 Great video as usual! I woke up my dachshund (it's almost 2am here) laughing at you carefully parking your jeep, tasting orbeez and admiring little pink shoes lol You're probably missing the "annoying" ice cream truck coming round on a hot day now that you live out in the country!

from my limited science education, moist beads acting with leidenfrost? effect, the hot metal on the beads creates a thin steam shell that has plenty of surface to spread out on and escape.

@theender422
@theender422 Жыл бұрын
@@eonmoon2166 you're exactly right, the steam has a place to escape. Even if the aluminum fully surrounded one of the jelly bits you may not get a steam explosion because you would also need enough metal layered around it to create the pressure for the water to boil and explode, if it's a thin metal coating it'll just sputter out through the metal and not do the usual Pow! noise.

Never heard of Orbeez before. But I like BOTH of the round ones and neither of the square ones. However, the Orbeez "sculptures" remind me of what results after molten aluminium is poured into ant hills. Once dug up and cleaned, they are organic and weird looking--just like the Orbeez molds. Nifty! 😃👍

I was thinking the same thing! Here in the U.S. Kmart is history. They shut them all down. First it was Sears and then Kmart acquired Craftsman tools. Now I believe you can get them at Lowes. No longer the great brand they used to be 40 years ago. (made in China now) . Well made and lifetime warranty. If you broke it, go to Sears give it to them and they would give you a new one. No questions asked. Oh, for the good old days when company's stood behind their products.😮‍💨

I thought it was an interesting pour for sure. Expected the things to pop or something... I haven't seen a Kmart in years! They are all but gone here in the states. Also, as someone that is very careful of moisture when you do your pours, were you not concerned pouring into these things that grow from sucking up water? I ask because I honestly do not know. The years I have watched you is all the experience I have in this department 🤷‍♂ . Anyway, I am jealous of the heat there, it's is still cold and I hate it. See you next week!

Small pockets of trapped moisture are more the problem. If there’s no where for the steam to go, it will explode (like inside a door knob, or a paint can) but since this is essentially a bucket of water, there’s plenty of places for the steam to go.
@TheWabbit
@TheWabbit Жыл бұрын
@@LaceBlood That makes sense, I was wondering about that myself.
@Schm1dtstorm
@Schm1dtstorm Жыл бұрын
Trapped moisture is the key. If water gets into the metal, the rapid steam expansion causes the metal to go flying. If metal goes into water, it cools quickly and any water turned to steam just boils off safely. In short: water into metal = bad, metal into water = usually fine

@@kevinbray3724 you’re right and Australia is quite protective of their wildlife so maybe that’s a bad idea for more than one reason. Most people pour fire ant mounds here in the US and they are an invasive species so it’s not bad and they aren’t as dangerous.

Honestly my favorite part of these videos are just your antics. "Let me carefully pull the jeep closer" *carefully crashes onto stuff to get close* "perfect" I think the square orbeez ones looked good Edit: You still have KMART down there!!!??

Hey John Cheers for the super thanks I really appreciate it😁👍 Take care and have an awesome weekend my friend👋 Yeah the boys are fast asleep at the moment as usual. A property this big and all they do is sleep 21 hours a day🙄 They certainly need their beauty rest.

I use the orbeez for gardening. Before planting put a bunch in a hole below where you are going to plant. Then if there is a dry spell the plant's roots will pull water from the orbeez. Works very well for guerrilla growers.
