They were already mediocre they had a great season that first year but players regressed that all time offense turned mediocre and that defense never improved. Absolutely loved how the team had been building slowly and gaining respect throughout the league the past 2 years, but this firing basically nullifies all of that. I feel especially bad for Demar for giving Sacramento a chance in his last few years of his career and he has to feel the dysfunction of the org. For some reason, Vivek Ranadive loves firing coaches 20 games into the season. He did it with Mike Malone and Luke Walton rather than waiting for the offseason.

I’ve been a kings fan my whole life and this is the story of the franchise’s entire history. The front office is completely incompetent, refuse to spend money or make significant trades to support their star players, and then point the finger at anything and everything but the FO and owner. Mike brown was less than ideal this season, but he was NOT the problem in sactown. The derozan signing was a terrible idea and they refused to make any trades to address our biggest weakness for the past 4 years by getting 3&D wings. Fox is gonna want out and now we’re back to a bottom of the west team after one year of playoffs where we didn’t even get out of the first round. Shit is brutal man

COTY to fired in that succession just doesn't make sense. They are doing what the Lakers are famous for. "Another day, another baffling move by the Kings' front office. Firing Mike Brown? Really? This guy took a team with so much untapped potential and gave it structure, fight, and an identity on the court. Sure, the results weren’t instant championship-level, but what did you expect? Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is a winning franchise. It’s hard not to feel like Kings’ management has no concept of continuity or long-term vision. You can’t keep hiring and firing coaches like they’re interchangeable and expect consistent results. At some point, you have to look in the mirror and realize it’s not the coaches; it’s the system-or lack thereof. This is just another chapter in the Kings' long history of mismanagement, and honestly, it’s exhausting as a fan. Until there’s a serious change in the way this organization is run, we’ll just keep spinning in circles. Frustrated doesn’t even begin to cover it!"

The 2022-23 Beam team catapulted my interest back into the sport more than ever and I can’t I’m anything but disappointed by the decisions of the front office. Not only with firing Mike Brown as a wrong knee jerk but everything leading up to it (letting Jordi walk away during the off season, not addressing 3 point scoring, not acquiring more forwards/centers and leaving Keon, Keegan and Fox on an island defensively). If not only keeping Fox but a playoff contending team was the goal of the front office, firing head coach who brought the team back to life would be the last decision you make. Not going into the trade market and dipping your feet into the luxury tax is the first thing you want to do if you WIN. I’m greatly disappointed and now an unnecessary rebuild is very possible in the kings timeline💔💔💔

It was supposed to be the deep playoff run that gives the team momentum for the future. They would hav beaten LA if they matched up. But the Dubs won that game 7 and it completely altered their history and derailed their momentum. They were just a play in team the ext year and bad this year. Brown is a good coach. Granted, he has some blame in the situation (why in the world would you not play Keon Ellis, what did the man do to deserve that) but the Kings roster wouldn’t have gone anywhere even if Phil Jackson or Pop coached them. It’s a flawed roster. And to be quite fair, the Kings should be, by the numbers, better than the record shows. Issue is, what was supposed to be a strentgh to start the year (crunch time), with De’Aaron being the first Clutch player of the year AND adding Deebo, has been their biggest weakness. They could easily be like 3-4 games above .500 if those close games went their way. Which is an execution problem. Not a Mike Brown problem.
