my explanations..Brooklyn gets young talent and expiring contracts to give them the most cap space in the league. Christian Braun was Jalen Wilson’s teammate at Kansas and would thrive with coach Jordi. Denver benefits from MPJ’s money being split between CJ and Hunter. Cam Johnson and MPJ would have similar roles within the team. Atlanta comes up big getting their center of the future in Claxton who would thrive with a guard like Trae and played college for Georgia. MPJ and DFS bolster their wing position and hawks have a starting lineup of Trae/MPJ/Johnson/DFS/Claxton (whole lineup is 6’9+ excluding Trae ofc).

2 trades the miami heat NEED to make are: Heat receive: Jay Huff Grizzled receive: Kevin Love, 2027 second round pick Reason: The miami heat desperately need someone who can put pressure on the rim both offensively and defensively, they are one of the worst shot blocking and rebounding teams in basketball; largely due to the fact Bam Adebayo is one of the best defenders in basketball and he is mostly stuck on the perimeter guarding the other teams best player, meaning when the heat get a stop due to Bam they have Nikola Jovic or Haywood Highsmoth fighting for rebounds over 7 footers. Jay Huff at the 5 would put way less stress on the heat when it comes to rebounding, Jay Huff can also block shots with ease, and hit 3s. Jay Huff is getting very inconsistent minutes on the grizzles, and the grizzles could use another vet in the locker room, kevin love will fill the hole that jay huff will leave, and the grizzles will also receive a pick. And the heat have needed size for the past 6 years so adding a 7 footer would be great. ---------------- Trade 2: Bulls receive: Terry Rozier, Nikola Jovic, future second round pick Heat receive: Lonzo Ball, Julian Phillips Reason: The Lonzo Ball experiment clearly isn’t working in chicago, and the Terry Rozier experiment is less than terrible in miami. Trading away Lonzo Ball for someone like Terry Rozier wouldn’t necessarily make sense, but having Terry Rozier as a tank commander is fun, as we saw in Charlotte. Nikola Jovic would be a great addition for the bulls as they could use a do it all 4 who can also play the 1, he could develop nicely if they continue to barely play Matas. The heat desperately need a real point guard who is a scrappy defender, Dru Smith is nice but come playoffs idk how much he can be trusted, A healthy Lonzo Ball would be amazing for miami. Trading Nikola Jovic would make sense due to miami having STUDS in the G-League such as Josh Christopher and Keshad Johnson who could get some good PT instead of Jovic, or they could play Burks, Larsson or Ware more

What’s yall opinion on the direction that the raptors should be taking this year. As a lifelong fan I have seen them hit on players deep into the draft many different times so when I see people talk about the idea of tanking it doesn’t really sit well with me. In my opinion playing to win every night will always be better for the players on the team mentality and development wise, also I just think this team is too good to be one of the worst teams in the league. The way I see it once/if they are healthy they’d most likely be anywhere from 10-7 I don’t know if that will be realistic for this year but I do believe that when IQ is fully healthy they most likely will look much better and surprise some people. On the topic of IQ how good do yall think he can be, I’m a sucker for a Kentucky guard and from what I’ve seen from him on the Knicks when people were injured and he got opportunities also post all star break last season he has looked great and I can really see him being a star but I’m curious how other people view him as a player now + his potential in the future.

Hear me out.. a video on how the Indiana Pacers has managed to stay semi relevant and competitive for over a decade. They haven’t always been crazy good but they def haven’t been crazy bad. I know it’s wild to be mediocre consistently but they have been one of the most consistent teams in the association. How you manage to never rebuild? Always trading stars and coming up on new ones. Brandon Ingram drastically changes the mediocre SF position they have rn. Also, the Cavs keep Garland on the roster. The Pelicans receive some draft capital, and a couple expiring contracts, including LeVert and Merrill. Not to mention, they could trade Strus right after and get a 2nd round pick or two if they attach someone else.
