Great story and lesson for your fans and students Gordie. Thank you so much for sharing and demystifying this classic for us mere mortals. My fav live version of this was Grady rocking this midday at some plaza in Austin, and it looked hot as balls that day. It was the most raw, hard hitting version I ever saw, and the sound was awesome. I watched that shit hundreds of times. It was my comfort blanket, and then it disappeared from the internet. Wtf with that!? Why did you take my comfort blanket away?

PS - have been a huge fan since I heard the first record. Saw you guys countless times when I was student in London early-mid 90s. Playing in small clubs (Call the Office) soooo fkg loud, I didn't hear right for days after. Learned to pack cotton in ears next times, but still came back wanting to be full-body pounded by Big Sugar sound lol. One September, maybe 93 or 94 you played midday at Fanshawe College in the courtyard on our 1st week back to school. That was pretty fkn cool. I was behind your drummer at the time, in li line to get a coffee on my way to class. Stitch had a distinct scar around the entire circumference of his skull. I would never have been so bold as to ask, hey bud what's with your scars, but someone did, and I'm just like whoa man, that's fkn wild. Almost made it thru morning classes with every intent to not miss the show, but not bail on my class. You guys started warming up, and it was so fkg loud, we couldn't hear our instructor talk. So right, class done, let's go. We get down to the courtyard part way thru 1st tune. The sky was looking very angry. It wasn't raining yet, but flashes of lightning all around. I think you were barely into the 2nd tune, and there was weird electrical noises and feedback and weird shit, and you stepped up to the mic, and this blue arc bridged the small gap between the mic and your lips. I saw it with my own eyes. And you were like FUCK, WTF!?. And you walked off, end of show. Nobody blamed you, and it did soon monsoon shortly thereafter, but we were all just like wtf just happened. Fucking bizarre.
