Having a list of "to do" things when you're close to the finish line really helps. It will remind you of the things that are left to do, and if you need to order parts, etc. The best part is when you start crossing things off that are done.
@BigTireGarage3 жыл бұрын
To be honest, when I make my list I purposely list a couple item twice....that way I get to cross off two things
@abpsd733 жыл бұрын
@@BigTireGarage I usually will list a few of the smaller things that get done at the same time along with a major task, reminds you about it and gets more stuff scratched off.

Are the rear calipers the 79-85 ones? I read that those aren’t strong enough to hold a truck with the ebrake , but that could possibly be because it wasn’t adjusted correctly?

Can a “line lock” substitute for an e-brake set up in a off road rig?
@paulwebber16573 жыл бұрын
I’d worry about transmission heat
@BigTireGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yes it can, we used to use them all the time. This issue is that often the line locks do not hold their pressure for long periods of time. You are also putting your hydraulic system under load for a long period of time it you park the vehicle for extended periods of time.
@BigTireGarage3 жыл бұрын

Yeah the technology behind these OG e brake calipers was not really that "great" that is why you see most OEM's have switched to an internal type drum brake setup inside the rotor hats.

@@BigTireGarage yeah tried that but couldn’t get them adjusted then, when I was upgrading brake system I notice the e brake bracket and lever was hitting my frame when hitting dips. I think this damage the e brake mechanism plus I couldn’t stop calipers from leaking at the bleeder screws.
