Western Kentucky has red clay. It produces pretty good corn and wheat.

@@bigtractorpower From videos of the crops in Western Kentucky it looks like some very good yielding crops are grown and harvested there. If I was 35 years younger I'd consider acquiring some land there and I really like the ability to double crop wheat and soybeans. You posted some really great videos about that. Thanks! Man that thing sounds good. Never have actually heard one that still has the 800 in it. Theres a few around here but they either dont run or have been repowered. Thats one heck of a chunk of dirt to be working in.

Of the International tractors , 4786 is one favorites . I still have the tractor brochure of it. Not a farmer , just a fan of articulating tractors 👍🏻

If I had to listen to a V8 all day, it’d be the DV800. Unique sound to it. But I’m not a V8 fan. There are those that think they’re the best, but how many are in tractors, combines, or semis now? The inline 6 was built for heavy duty work. Better torque, more main bearings supporting the crank.

I use to drive one back in Iowa in 81 - 83 ...pulled a 32 disk , Miller offset, and a 53 foot field cultivator //the Tractor is made by Steiger.... / We also had a 4586 which had a Road gear that would push close to 30 mph which could get really Scary .

Very very cool. Thank you for sharing the implement history. I am a 4786 fan and IH 4wds in general. Nice you could get up to 30. My 4786 tops out at 17 mph. This not popular on a busy road.

Just to clarify something, these tractors never had a muffler installed from the factory. They were all straight pipes, whether the early straight or later curved versions.

The 1981 sales brochure for the 86 series shows the sane muffler on my 4786 in the video. The 4786 is right on the cover with the curved muffler.
